Walnut Creek is a creek in North Texas. The creek rises to the northeast of Keene in Johnson County, flowing to the Tarrant County near Mansfield. The creek runs to the northeast, forming the border between Dallas and Grand Prairie. The mouth of the creek is west of Duncanville where it meets Mountain Creek. Walnut Creek Linear Park Walnut Creek Linear Park is a public walking trail in Mansfield. The trail follows the course of the creek, and forms a linear connection with various public parks in the city, including Town Park, Katherine Rose Memorial Park and James McKnight Park. Keene is a city in Johnson County, Texas, United States. The population was 6,106 as of the 2010 Census, up from 5,003 at the 2000 census. Geography Keene is located in central Johnson County at (32.392860, –97.327501). It is bordered to the west by Cleburne, the county seat. U.S. Route 67 runs through the southern side of the city, leading east to Alvarado and west to Cleburne. Johnson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 179,927. Its county seat is Cleburne. Johnson County is named for Middleton Johnson, a Texas Ranger, soldier, and politician. Johnson County is included in the Dallas– Fort Worth– Arlington metropolitan statistical area. History The first settler of Johnson County was Henry Briden, who built a log cabin on the Nolan River in 1849. Mansfield is a suburban city in the U.S. state of Texas, and is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex area. Duncanville, Texas
Duncanville is a city in southwest Dallas County, Texas, in the United States. Duncanville's population was 40,706 at the 2020 census. The city is part of the Best Southwest area, which includes Duncanville, Cedar Hill, DeSoto, and Lancaster. History Settlement of the area began in 1845, when Illinois resident Crawford Trees purchased several thousand acres south of Camp Dallas. In 1880, the Chicago, Texas, and Mexican Central Railway reached the area and built Duncan Switch, named for a line foreman. Charles P.
