Wakiso Town
Wakiso is a city in the Central Region of Uganda. It is the headquarters of Wakiso District. Location Wakiso is located on the Kampala–Hoima Highway, approximately north-west of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city. The coordinates of the town are 00 24 00N, 32 28 48E (Latitude:0.4000; Longitude:32.4800). Climate Köppen-Geiger climate classification system classifies its climate as tropical rainforest (Af). Regions Of Uganda
The regions of Uganda are known as Central, Western, Eastern, and Northern. These four regions are in turn divided into districts. There were 56 districts in 2002, which expanded into 111 districts plus one city (Kampala) by 2010. The national government interacts directly with the districts, so regions do not have any definite role in administration. Under British rule before 1962, the regions were functional administrative units and were called provinces, headed by a Provincial Commissioner. Vipers SC
Vipers SC is a football club based in Kampala, Uganda. They are nicknamed the Venoms or Nyokas (Snakes in Kiswahili). History The club was founded as Bunamwaya FC in 1969. Vipers SC have played in the Uganda Premier League since 2006 after winning the Wakiso District and Super Mini League promotion league in 2005. They have finished in the top half of the table every year since the 2006–07 season. With the backing of president Lawrence Mulindwa, the club signed several important players for the 2010 season, including seven members of the Ugandan National Team at the time. The Uganda Bureau of Statistics ("UBOS") is an agency of the Ugandan government. Formed by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics Act, 1998, the agency is mandated to "coordinate, monitor and supervise Uganda's National Statistical System".
