Wakefield Eastern Relief Road
The Wakefield Eastern Relief Road (A6194, also known as Neil Fox Way) is a new single-carriageway road opened in 2017, running generally north-south on the eastern edge of Wakefield, linking the A638 near Heath Common to the A642 at Stanley, south of junction 30 of the M62. Wakefield is a cathedral city in West Yorkshire, England located on the River Calder. A642 Road
The A642 is an A-road in West Yorkshire, England which runs from Huddersfield to the A64 near Leeds. It partly follows the route of a historic turnpike road, which is evidenced by surviving toll houses. The road begins at Waterloo east of the town centre at the junction with A629 and continues via Lepton to Grange Moor where the A637 branches off. From there it passes through Middlestown and Horbury (on the Horbury bypass) and leads to the junction with A638 west of Wakefield City Centre. Stanley is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Wakefield in West Yorkshire, England. It is about north-east of Wakefield city centre. M62 Motorway
The M62 is a west–east trans-Pennine motorway in Northern England, connecting Liverpool and Hull via Manchester, Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield; of the route is shared with the M60 orbital motorway around Manchester. The road is part of the unsigned Euroroutes E20 ( Shannon to Saint Petersburg) and E22 ( Holyhead to Ishim). The motorway, which was first proposed in the 1930s, and conceived as two separate routes, was opened in stages between 1971 and 1976, with construction beginning at Pole Moor near Huddersfield and finishing at that time in Tarbock on the outskirts of Liverpool. Neil Fox (rugby League)
Neil Fox MBE (born 4 May 1939) is an English former professional rugby league footballer and player-coach who played in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, and coached in the 1970s and 1980s. A left-footed goal-kicking , he set rugby league's all-time points record, scoring 6,220 points during his career. The brother of fellow rugby league players, Peter and Don Fox, Neil played for Yorkshire sides such as; Wakefield Trinity ( Heritage No. 629) (two spells), Bradford Northern ( Heritage No.) (two spells), Hull Kingston Rovers ( Heritage No.), York, Bramley and Huddersfield.
