''Wake Up'' is the debut album by indie pop band Youngblood Hawke (band), Youngblood Hawke. It was released on April 23, 2013 exclusively on iTunes and then released to other digital retailers and stores on April 30, 2013. Background On February 26, 2013PureVolumeposted an article containing tour and album information. The album title was inspired by 22-year-old Danny McGuire, a friend of the band members. One day he was riding his bike home and was hit by a drunk driver, putting McGuire into a coma before dying. Youngblood Hawke wrote their song "Dannyboy" for him. Youngblood Hawke (band)
Youngblood Hawke is an American indie pop band based in Los Angeles, California. History Both Simon Katz and Sam Martin were in the band Iglu & Hartly, but after a 2011 hiatus, the two reformed with three of their long-time friends to form Youngblood Hawke. Their name is taken from the Herman Wouk novel of the same name. In October 2011, before landing a recording contract with Universal Republic, Youngblood had a residency at The Satellite in Los Angeles. Aside from that, the group has performed at South by Southwest, playing showcases such as Comedy Central Workaholics showcase, and Purevolume House. The band was based in Silverlake, Los Angeles, where they were working on their debut album and worked odd jobs on the side during the recording process. Da Internz are a production team originating from Chicago, Illinois. The duo is composed of Marcos " Kosine" Palacios and Ernest Tuo Clark. Da Internz describe their sound as "gourmet ratchet", meaning imperfect but excellent. Background Both men state that they were born to make music. Marcos’ mother put him in piano at six years old. He picked up the saxophone in 5th grade and then the drums in 8th. This duo is from Chicago but is currently based out of Los Angeles, California. Luciana Caporaso (born 23 June 1973), simply known as Luciana, is a British singer. She is of English and Italian heritage. Career 1994–2006: Acting and ''One More River'' Caporaso made her acting debut in 1994, in the final episode on the short lived British TV series, ''Anna Lee''.
