Wajahat Attre
Wajahat Attre (1945 – 26 May 2017) was a Pakistani music director who composed around 3000 songs for over 200 films. Early life Wajahat Attre was born in Puna, Gujarat, British India in 1945. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, his family migrated to Pakistan. His father, Rasheed Attre (1919 – 1967) also was a noted film music composer of Pakistan and originally belonged to Amritsar, Punjab, British India. Career Wajahat composed music for over 200 films, among them Mukhra (1988 film), ''Chan Varyam'' (1981), Naukar Wohti Da (1974 film) and Ishq Khuda (2013 film) became musical hits. He churned out popular songs like ''Wagdi Nadi Da Paani'', ''Vay Ik Tera Pyar Menu Mileya'', ''Aanda Teray Layi Reshmi Rumal''. Masood Rana
Masood Rana ( ur, , 6 August 1941 – 4 October 1995) was a Pakistani film playback singer. He began his singing career in 1962 with the film ''Inqalab'', became one of the top male singers in both Urdu and Punjabi films for more than three decades and remained a busy singer until his death in 1995. Rana still holds the record of singing more than 300 film songs in each of the two languages - Urdu and Punjabi, an all-time record shared with Ahmed Rushdi and Noor Jehan. Ahmad Rahi (12 November 1923 – 2 September 2002) was a Punjabi poet and writer from Pakistan. Early life He was born 12 November 1923 in Amritsar, British India. His real name was Ghulam Ahmad, a name given by his spiritual leader Khorsheed Ahmad. He completed his basic early education from Amritsar, India in 1940. ''Zarqa'' is a 1969 Pakistani epic historical drama film directed, produced and written by Riaz Shahid while the music is composed by Rashid Attre and Wajahat Attre. It features Neelo, Alauddin, Ejaz Durrani, Saqi and Nasira as protagonist characters. It is based on the life of Zarqa, a Palestinian dancer girl and a freedom activist, the latter of whom killed herself for the liberation of Palestine involving Israeli-occupied territories and Palestinian liberation movement. It also addresses a real event of Neelo when she was forcibly invited by Nawab Malik Amir Mohammad Khan, the governor of West Pakistan to his office to perform a stage dance during the 1965's official visit of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi to Pakistan.
