Masood Rana
Masood Rana ( ur, , 6 August 1941 – 4 October 1995) was a Pakistani film playback singer. He began his singing career in 1962 with the film ''Inqalab'', became one of the top male singers in both Urdu and Punjabi films for more than three decades and remained a busy singer until his death in 1995. Rana still holds the record of singing more than 300 film songs in each of the two languages - Urdu and Punjabi, an all-time record shared with Ahmed Rushdi and Noor Jehan. Early life Masood Rana was born in Mirpur Khas, Sindh, then British India, on 6 August 1941. He was born in a Rajput land-owning family which had migrated from the East Punjab city of Jalandhar. He started his singing career on Radio Pakistan, Hyderabad, Sindh in 1955 and later helped establish a singing group in Karachi in the early 1960s with the Pakistani film actor Nadeem Baig and a fellow singer Akhlaq Ahmed. Mirpur Khas ( Sindhi and ; ''meaning "Town of the most-high Mirs"'') is the capital city of the Mirpur Khas District and Mirpur Khas Division in the Sindh province, Pakistan. Mirza Nazeer Baig (born 19 July 1941), also known by his stage name Nadeem ( ur, ندیم) is a Pakistani actor, singer and producer. He has appeared in over two hundred films and has won the 1997 Pride of Performance award. In Pakistan Nadeem enjoys the same status as Amitabh Bachchan enjoys in India. Early life Baig was born in Vijayawada in modern Andhra Pradesh which, in 1941, was part of Madras Presidency in British India. Nadeem Baig migrated to Dhaka, East Pakistan along with his family after the independence of Pakistan in 1947. Nazir Ali (1945 – 5 January 2003) was a Pakistani film music director. He is tagged as the "king of dhamaal". He composed 123 songs in 39 Urdu films and 435 songs in 115 Punjabi films. He won 2 Nigar Awards during his music career prolonged over three decades. Early life and career Nazir Ali was born in Gakhar Mandi, Gujranwala district, British India in 1945. In 1961, he started his music career as an assistant musician for M. Ashraf, a musical duo. He also assisted musicians Bakhshi Wazir and Tasadduq Hussain for some time. Finally, he gained a chance as a solo music director with a film, "Paidagir" that was released in 1966. ''Dil Mera Dharkan Teri'' () is a 1968 Pakistani Urdu-language musical romance film produced by Murtaza Aftab and directed by M. A. Rasheed. Muzaffar Warsi (23 December 1933 – 28 January 2011; ur, مظفر وارثی) was a Pakistani poet, essayist, lyricist, and a scholar of Urdu. He began writing more than five decades ago. Shaukat Ali, also known as Shaukat Ali Khan, (3 May 1944 – 2 April 2021) was a Pakistani folk singer. Josh Malihabadi
Josh Malihabadi (born Shabbir Hasan Khan; 5 December 1898 – 22 February 1982) popularly known as Shayar-e-Inqalab (poet of revolution) was a Pakistani poet and is regarded as one of the finest Urdu poets of the era of British India. Known for his liberal values and challenging the established order, he wrote over 100,000 couplets and more than 1,000 Rubāʿiyāt, rubaiyat in his lifetime.
