Wahl, Luxembourg
Wahl () is a commune and small village in western Luxembourg, in the canton of Redange. Wahl, which lies in the south of the commune, has a population of 220. Other villages within the commune include Buschrodt and Grevels. The commune administration for the three villages is located in Wahl's historic school building. Population Economy In addition to the commune administration, Wahl has a church and cemetery, but no local stores or restaurants. The Wahl Clipper Corporation is an American manufacturer of grooming products. It is headquartered in Sterling, Illinois. History Wahl Clipper Corporation was founded due to Leo J. Wahl's patent for an electromagnetic hair clipper in 1919. On February 2, 1921, he purchased majority of the stock of his uncle's manufacturing company which made the clipper, and incorporated the business as Wahl Clipper Corporation. WAAL (99.1 FM "The Whale") is a commercial radio station licensed to Binghamton, New York. It airs a classic rock radio format and is owned by Townsquare Media. WAAL is the oldest FM radio station in the Binghamton metropolitan area. It is an affiliate of the New York Giants Radio Network. The studios and offices are on Court Street in Binghamton.
