Wafa Makhlouf
Wafa Makhlouf ( ar, وفاء مخلوف ) is a Tunisian politician, the co-founder and member of the executive committee of Nidaa Tounes since 2012 and the Executive Director of CEED Tunisia. Makhlouf has a diploma in Finance. She founded her own business initiative, an environmental company. Proclean focuses on household refuse collection and mechanized beach cleaning in 2003. Life and career Makhlouf is the Executive Director of the organisation CEED. She was a member of the Jeune Chambre Economique in Hammam Chott from 2003 until 2005, a member of the CJD (Centre des Jeunes Dirigeants) – Young CEO Centre in Tunisia in 2005 and its president in 2011. She initiated the first women entrepreneurs incubator and the initiative Wajjahni. She was the Chairwoman of the Board of Enactus Tunisia. Nidaa Tounes ( ar, حركة نداء تونس ', french: Appel de la Tunisie; usually translated as "Call of Tunisia", "Call for Tunisia", or "Tunisia's Call") is a big tent secularist political party in Tunisia. After being founded in 2012, the party won a plurality of seats in the October 2014 parliamentary election. Beach cleaning or clean-up is the process of removing solid litter, dense chemicals, and organic debris deposited on a beach or coastline by the tide, local visitors, or tourists. Hammam Chott
Hammam Chott is a town and commune in the Ben Arous Governorate, Tunisia. It is located 20 kilometers from the capital, Tunis, in the southern suburbs. It is a seaside resort town. The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) had its headquarters in Hammam Chott before an Israeli bombing attack in 1985. On 1 October 1985, the PLO headquarters in Hammam Chott was bombed and destroyed by the Israeli Air Force in Operation Wooden Leg. Origin of name Chott in Arabic means "beach" which is appropriate due to Hammam Chott's location on the Gulf of Tunis. 2014 Tunisian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Tunisia on 26 October 2014. Campaigning started on 4 October 2014. They were the first free regular legislative elections since independence in 1956, and the first elections held following the adoption of the new constitution in January 2014, which created a 217-seat Assembly of the Representatives of the People. According to preliminary results, Nidaa Tounes gained a plurality of votes, winning 85 seats in the 217-seat parliament, beating the Ennahda Movement (69 seats) and many smaller parties. Presidential elections were held a month later on 23 November. Electoral system The 217 members of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People were elected in 33 constituencies.
