The Land of Oz is a magical country introduced in the 1900 children's novel ''The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'' written by L. Frank Baum and illustrated by W. W. Denslow. Oz consists of four vast quadrants, the Gillikin Country in the north, Quadling Country in the south, Munchkin Country in the east, and Winkie Country in the west. Due to Oz's worldwide success, Baum decided to return to it four years after ''The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'' was published. For the next two decades, he described and expanded upon the land in the Oz Books, a series which in ...

Adventure Game Studio (AGS) is an open source development tool primarily used to create graphic adventure games. It is aimed at intermediate-level game designers, and combines an integrated development environment (IDE) with a scripting language based on the C programming language to process game logic. History Adventure Game Studio was created by British programmer Chris Jones in 1997 as an MS-DOS program entitled "Adventure Creator". Jones was inspired by Sierra On-Line's adventure game interface, specifically as showcased in ''Space Quest IV''. The first version of Adventure Creator allowed users to create only low-resolution keyboard-controlled games. ''Lassi Quest'' was released as the first complete AGS game in late 1999. The engine gained popularity with the release of Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw's '' Rob Blanc'' and Philip Reed's ''Larry Vales'' games in 2000-2001. Vertigo Comics, also known as DC Vertigo or simply Vertigo, was an imprint of American comic book publisher DC Comics started by editor Karen Berger in 1993. Vertigo's purpose was to publish comics with adult content, such as nudity, drug use, profanity, and graphic violence, that did not fit the restrictions of DC's main line, thus allowing more creative freedom. Its titles consisted of company-owned comics set in the DC Universe, such as '' The Sandman'' and ''Hellblazer'', and creator-owned works, such as ''Preacher'', '' Y: The Last Man'' and ''Fables''. The Vertigo branding was retired in 2020, and most of its library transitioned to DC Black Label. Vertigo grew out of DC's mature readers' line of the 1980s, which began after DC stopped submitting '' The Saga of the Swamp Thing'' for approval by the Comics Code Authority. Following the success of two adult-oriented 1986 limited series, '' Batman: The Dark Knight Returns'' and ''Watchmen'', DC's output of mature readers ti ...

IPad
The iPad is a brand of iOS and iPadOS-based tablet computers that are developed by Apple Inc. The iPad was conceived before the related iPhone but the iPhone was developed and released first. Speculation about the development, operating system, and release of the original iPad began in 2002 prior to its introduction on January 20, 2010. The iPad range consists of the original iPad lineup and the flagship products iPad Mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro. The iPhone's iOS operating system (OS) was initially used for the iPad but in September 2019, its OS was switched to a fork of iOS called iPadOS that has better support for the device's hardware and its user interface is customized for the tablets' larger screens. The iPad's App Store is subject to application and content approval. Many older devices are susceptible to jailbreaking, which circumvents these restrictions. The original iPad was well-received for its software and was recognized as one of the most-influential inven ...
