Wade Ormsby
Wade Ormsby (born 31 March 1980) is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and on the LIV Golf Invitational Series. Career Ormsby was born in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. He attended the University of Houston in the United States for three years before turning professional in 2001. Ormsby began his career on the PGA Tour of Australasia in his home country, while also trying to play in Europe. He played his first full season on the European Tour in 2004, having earned his place via qualifying school at the end of 2003. He finished 112th on the Order of Merit in his first season to retain playing rights, and improved to 71st in 2005. He was then unable to retain his card automatically and regained it several times via return trips to qualifying school, in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2013. Shane Lowry (born 2 April 1987) is an Irish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the PGA Tour. His notable achievements include winning the 2019 Open Championship, the Irish Open as an amateur in 2009, and the 2015 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Professional Golf Tour Of India
The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Tata Steel Professional Golf Tour of India, is a professional golf tour for men based in India. The tour was formed in 2006, as the successor to the Indian PGA Golf Tour, which ran from 1997 to 2006. The PGTI serves as a feeder tour for higher level tours such as the Asian Tour. Many Indian players have become members of the Asian Tour, while a small number have joined the world's leading two tours, the European Tour and the United States-based PGA Tour. The PGTI became a member of the International Federation of PGA Tours in 2009, but its events did not carry Official World Golf Ranking points unless they were co-sanctioned by tours that are included in the world ranking system. Hong Kong Open (golf)
The Hong Kong Open is a golf tournament which is co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the European Tour. It was founded in 1959 and in 1962 was one of the five tournaments that made up the inaugural Far East Circuit, later known as the Asia Golf Circuit. It remained part of the circuit until 1996, before joining the Asian Tour, then known as the Omega Tour, in 1997. It became co-sanctioned by the European Tour in 2001, as part of the 2002 season. The Hong Kong Open was played in spring from its inception until 1994, but since 1995 has usually been played towards the end of the year, in November or December, and as a result has often fallen into the following year's European Tour season. Boonchu Ruangkit (born 12 May 1956) is a Thai professional golfer who plays on the Champions Tour. Early life As a young man, Boonchu tried for a career in kick boxing, but he gave it up after being knocked out cold in his third bout. He made his mark in golf when he won the 1985 Australian Amateur. Professional career Boonchu turned professional in 1986. He has won five titles on the Asian Tour since its first modern season in 1995, and has several other victories to his name. He was the runner-up on the Asian Tour Order of Merit in 1995 and also made the top ten in 1998 and 2004. In the latter year he won the Thailand Open for the second time in his career at the age of 47. In 2006, Boonchu turned 50 and became eligible to play in senior tournaments. Julian Suri (born April 6, 1991) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the European Tour. Amateur career Suri played college golf at Duke University where he won three events and was an All-American in 2012. Professional career Suri turned professional in 2013. In 2016 he played all three stages of the European Tour Qualifying School. He finished just one stroke away from qualifying for the European Tour, to earn a place on the Challenge Tour. Paul Peterson (born July 1, 1988) is an American professional golfer, currently playing on the European Tour and the Asian Tour. Professional career Peterson played on the Canadian Tour in 2012, making only two cuts in six events. In February 2014, Peterson was successful at the Asian Tour Qualifying School. In 2015, he finished in the top 10 of two joint events with the European Tour. This gave him 138th place in the European Tour rankings for 2015, earning him conditional status for 2016. On August 21, 2016, Peterson won the D+D Real Czech Masters for his first European Tour victory. He was ranked 398th in the world prior to the victory.
