WSA World Series 2013
The WSA World Series 2013 is a series of women's squash tournaments which are part of the Women's Squash Association (WSA) World Tour for the 2013 squash season. The WSA World Series tournaments are some of the most prestigious events on the women's tour. Nicol David won the 2013 WSA World Series followed by Laura Massaro and Raneem El Weleily. WSA World Series Ranking Points WSA World Series events also have a separate World Series ranking. Women's Squash Association
The Women's Squash Association (WSA) was the governing body for the women's professional squash circuit between 2011 and 2014. It was based in London, England. The body operated in a similar fashion to the WTA for tennis. The WSA World Tour involved over 100 tournaments annually all over the globe. Over 250 players were registered with the WSA and rankings were updated monthly based on players' performances. In November 2014, the WSA and the PSA announced a historic merger between the two associations. A decision was reached that will see the PSA operate as the governing body for both the women's and men's ranks from January 1, 2015. The U.S. Open (squash) is the most prestigious squash tournament in the United States, and one of the most significant in the world. Madeline Perry
Madeline Perry (born 11 February 1977 in Banbridge, Northern Ireland) is a former professional squash player from Northern Ireland. She was raised in Northern Ireland and lives in Philadelphia. In November 2006 at the World Open in Belfast, she justified her seeding of eighth by reaching the quarter-finals. She then won the Irish Open 2007 title in Dublin. Her career highlights is at the defeat to Nicol David in the quarter-finals of the Forexx Dutch Open where she took the world number one to 9–7 in the fourth set. However, a serious head injury sustained when Madeline was mugged in Milan, Italy, put a halt to the rest of the season. Kasey Brown
Kasey Brown (born 1 August 1985) is a former professional squash player from Australia. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 5 in December 2011. Career Brown was born in Taree, New South Wales was the Australian junior champion in 2003 and 2004 and was then the senior champion in 2006 and in the same year also won the Australian Open title. Brown was coached by Rodney Martin and was based in Greenwich, Connecticut. During 2006, she won five WISPA events in Australia as well as the Central Open in New Zealand. During 2010, Brown established herself as a contender on the WISPA Tour reaching the top ten world rankings at the start of 2010. Omneya Abdel Kawy
Omneya Abdel Kawy ( ar, أمنية عبد القوي; born 15 August 1985, in Cairo) is a former professional squash player from Egypt. Career Omneya crowned a successful junior career in 2003 in her home city of Cairo when she became the first Egyptian woman to win a world junior title having won the 2003 World Junior Championship; she had previously been the runner up to Nicol David in 1999 and 2001. Such was already competing on the WISPA Tour during her mid teens. She reached number seven in the world rankings early in 2005 and achieved match ball against world number one Rachael Grinham in the final of the Hurghada International in her home country, though she eventually lost the match. Camille Serme
Camille Serme (born 4 April 1989 in Créteil) is a former professional squash player from France. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 2 in February 2017. Career As a junior player, Camille Serme won three European Junior Championship titles in 2006, 2007 and 2008. And she was runner-up of the World Junior Championships in 2007 in Hong Kong against Raneem El Weleily. In September 2010, she reached the semifinals of the Soho Square Women's World Open 2010. Low Wee Wern
Low Wee Wern (; born 25 July 1990 in Penang, Malaysia) is a Malaysian professional squash player. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 5 in October 2014. Personal life Low attended Methodist Girls' School, Penang for her primary school years before moving to Sri Pelita for her secondary school years. She also has a sister Low Wee Nee who was a professional squash player. Career Low began playing squash at the age of nine based at the Penang International Squash Centre in Bukit Dumbar, Penang. Jenny Duncalf
Jennifer Duncalf (born 10 November 1982) is a former professional squash player from England. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 2 in December 2009. Career Duncalf was born in Haarlem, Netherlands but was a pupil at Harrogate Grammar School where she attended from 1994-2001. As a junior player, she won the European Junior Championship title. Duncalf won the European Individual Championship title in 2006 and 2007, and the British National Championship title in 2007 and 2009. Alison Waters (born 19 March 1984 in London) is a former professional squash player from England. Career As a junior player, Waters won her first major squash tournament – the British Under-12 title – at the age of nine-and-a-half. She retained the title the following year. She was a three-time runner-up at the British Open Under-14 Championships. She won her first professional title in 2005 at the Forbes Open, beating Carla Khan in the final.
