WNEW-FM (102.7 FM, ''NEW 102.7'') is a hot adult contemporary formatted radio station, licensed to New York, New York and owned by Audacy, Inc. The station's studios are located at the Audacy facility in the Hudson Square neighborhood of Manhattan. Its transmitter is located at the Empire State Building. WNEW-FM is best remembered for one of its previous incarnations, a progressive rock radio format that began in 1967 and lasted into the 1990s. That station became very influential in the development of rock music during the 1970s and 1980s. Between 1958 and 1986, the station shared the WNEW call sign with former sister AM station WNEW (1130 kHz) and television station WNEW-TV (channel 5), with all being owned by Metromedia. WDCH-FM (99.1 MHz) – branded ''Bloomberg 99.1'' – is a commercial business news radio station licensed to Bowie, Maryland, and serving the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. Owned by Audacy, Inc., the station is operated by Bloomberg L.P. as the market network affiliate for Bloomberg Radio. WDCH-FM often airs D.C. United soccer and Washington Wizards NBA basketball games whenever sports radio sister station WJFK-FM (106.7 "The Fan") is carrying a different game. The studios and offices are near the Washington Navy Yard along the Anacostia River in Southeast, Washington, D.C., Southeast Washington, while the station transmitter is in Hanover, Maryland. WJFK (1580 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station broadcasting a sports gambling radio format. Licensed to Morningside, Maryland, and serving the Washington metropolitan area, the station is owned by Audacy, Inc. The radio studios are in Southeast DC in the Navy Yard neighborhood. Programming is supplied by the co-owned BetQL Audio Network and CBS Sports Radio. By day, WJFK is powered at 50,000 watts, the maximum for commercial AM stations. Because 1580 AM is a Canadian clear channel frequency, WJFK must greatly reduce power at night to 270 watts, when radio waves travel farther. WUUB (106.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a sports format. Licensed to serve Jupiter, Florida, United States, the station is owned by Good Karma Broadcasting, LLC. The station is also broadcast on HD radio. The station's studios are in West Palm Beach and the transmitter tower is in Riviera Beach. History Prior to January 2007, 106.3 FM was known as WJBW, and between January 2007 and December 2011, it was known as WNEW-FM. Despite these call letter changes, the station's branding remained "B106.3". WBBR (1130 AM) is a Class A clear-channel radio station licensed to New York, New York. It serves as the flagship station of Bloomberg Radio, Bloomberg L.P.'s radio service. The station offers general and financial news reports 24-hours a day, along with local information and interviews with corporate executives, economists, and industry analysts. WBBR broadcasts at 50,000 watts, the maximum authorized power for AM stations, from a four-tower antenna array located in Carlstadt, New Jersey. A single tower is used during the day, at night, power is fed to all four towers in a directional pattern to protect KWKH in Shreveport, Louisiana, the other Class A station at 1130 AM. Even with this restriction, it can be heard across much of the Eastern United States and Canada, but is strongest in the Northeast. WGH (1310 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Newport News, Virginia, and serving Hampton Roads. WGH is owned and operated by Max Media, and airs a sports radio format. It mostly carries shows from Fox Sports Radio and calls itself "Fox Sports 1310 and 100.9." Studios and offices are on Greenwich Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia. WGH operates with 20,000 watts by day and 5,000 watts at night. To protect other stations on 1310 AM, it uses a directional antenna, sending much of the signal to the east. The transmitter is off Mary Ann Drive in Hampton, just over the line from Newport News. Programming is also heard on 250-watt FM translator W265EF at 100.9 MHz in Newport News.
