WLVX
WLVX (107.1 FM) is a radio station licensed to Greenville, Pennsylvania. It operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week at 2,100 watts. The station is owned by Educational Media Foundation, who officially received assignment of the licenses of WEXC, WLOA and WGRP from Beacon Broadcasting on December 23, 2010. Vilkie Communications assumed control of WLOA and WGRP from Educational Media Foundation on December 15, 2011. WLVX is an affiliate of EMF's national non-commercial Adult Contemporary radio network playing Contemporary Christian music. Broadcast history WLVX was originally a locally focused voice for the communities of Greenville, Pennsylvania, The Shenango Valley, and Youngstown, Ohio. The 107.1 frequency was first registered as WGRP-FM, a sister signal to the then co-owned WGRP 940-AM. The WEXC calls were first registered for 107.1 on May 16, 1985. WGRP
WGRP (940 AM) is a licensed Class D radio station broadcasting from Greenville, Pennsylvania. WGRP broadcasts full-time. However, it only sends out 2 watts in the nighttime hours, in order to protect a Canadian and Mexican clear-channel (940 AM) which is reserved by international treaty. The Canadian Class A station is no longer on the air; the Mexican station is XEQ in Mexico City. FM Translator WGRP relays programming to an FM translator in order to improve coverage, especially at night when the AM frequency broadcasts with only 2 watts. The FM frequency also gives improved high fidelity stereophonic sound. WGRP and WLOA, along with WMVL 101.7 FM in Linesville, PA, are owned by Vilkie Communications, and both feature an oldies format. Elberton is the largest city in Elbert County, Georgia, United States. The population was 4,653 at the 2010 census. The city is the county seat of Elbert County. WYLR is a radio station in the Youngstown, Ohio market. Licensed to Hubbard, the station broadcasts a contemporary Christian music ( CCM) format on 101.9 FM from the Educational Media Foundation 24-hour national feed ( K-LOVE). The station signed on as a result of a construction permit issued on January 31, 1992 by Columbus atty. Percey Squire and local broadcaster Mr. Frankie 'Lucky" Halfacre who was the first African-American DJ in the greater Youngstown area who got his start on WNIO-1540 in the 1960s. From 1998 until 2001, the station was operated by Jacor Communications and successor Clear Channel Communications via an LMA, making it a part of their extensive Youngstown/ New Castle cluster of stations. Jason Mark Lewis (born September 23, 1955) is an American politician and former conservative radio personality who served as the U.S. representative for Minnesota's 2nd congressional district from 2017 until 2019. The district included most of the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. A member of the Republican Party, he was a radio talk show host and a conservative political commentator before serving in Congress.
