WLLF (96.7 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station in Mercer, Pennsylvania, and serving the Youngstown metropolitan area. It has a sports radio format, much of it simulcast with co-owned WBBW 1240 AM, from the CBS Radio Network. It is one of seven radio stations in the Youngstown market owned by Cumulus Broadcasting. The studios and offices are in "The Radio Center" in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. WLLF carries a variety of local high school and college sports as well as games from the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team, the Cleveland Browns football team and the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team. History The station was first issued a construction permit in March 1984. It signed on in January 1985 as WKTX. WNCD is a commercial radio station serving Youngstown, Ohio, owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. and broadcasting a mainstream rock format at 93.3 MHz. Its signal covers Youngstown, Warren, and New Castle, PA, and at times even reaches Erie and New Kensington, Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh market). The Pittsburgh Penguins Radio Network is a radio network operated by the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League that provides broadcasts for all the team's games. Josh Getzoff assumed play-by-play duties at the start of the 2021-22 season after the retirement of hall of fame announcer Mike Lange. Former Penguin Phil Bourque is the color commentator. The flagship station since 2006 is WXDX-FM in Pittsburgh. Mike Lange began doing team radio broadcasts in 1974, and after not working for the team during the 1975–76 year, rejoined the network for the 1976–77 season.
