WIFN (1340 kHz "ESPN Atlanta 103.7 FM"), is an Atlanta AM radio station. The station is currently broadcasting a sports format, and is a sister station to WCNN "680 The Fan", running programming from ESPN Radio. History and ownership The station is co-owned with AM radio stations WCNN AM 680 and WFOM AM 1230. All three stations are owned by Dickey Broadcasting, with studios adjacent to Truist Park in Cobb County. The station previously aired a Spanish language sports/talk format and a gospel music format. As WALR this station simulcast their former sister station WALR-FM (then known as "Kiss 104.7"). This station was a simulcast of WFOM on two occasions. Cobb County is a county in the U.S. state of Georgia, located in the Atlanta metropolitan area in the north central portion of the state. As of 2020 Census, the population was 766,149. WLXF (105.5 FM) is a Christian radio station licensed to serve Macon, Georgia. It broadcasts a Contemporary Christian music format. History WDEN-FM The current 105.5 license began broadcasting at 105.3 MHz as WDEN-FM, Macon's second FM radio station, on June 10, 1968. It was the FM sister station to WDEN (1500 AM), a daytime-only country music outlet, and its full-time simulcast, additionally operating after local sunset. Macon ( ), officially Macon–Bibb County, is a consolidated city-county in the U.S. state of Georgia. Georgian Terrace Hotel
The Georgian Terrace Hotel in Midtown Atlanta, part of the Fox Theatre Historic District, was designed by architect William Lee Stoddart in a Beaux-Arts style that was intended to evoke the architecture of Paris. Construction commenced on July 21, 1910, and ended on September 8, 1911, and the hotel opened on October 2, 1911. The George C. Fuller Construction Company was contractor, and the developer was Joseph F. Gatins, Jr. A 19-story wing, designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart and Associates, was added in 1991. A major renovation was completed in 2009. The Georgian Terrace is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Valparaiso, Indiana
Valparaiso ( ), colloquially Valpo, is a city and the county seat of Porter County, Indiana, United States. The population was 34,151 at the 2020 census. History The site of present-day Valparaiso was included in the purchase of land from the Potawatomi people by the U.S. Government in October 1832. Chiqua's town or Chipuaw was located a mile east of the current Courthouse along the Sauk Trail. Chiqua's town existed from or before 1830 until after 1832. WAKE (AM)
WAKE (1500 AM) is a radio station broadcasting an oldies format. WAKE had an adult standards format until 2009, when it briefly switched to CNN Headline News, before adopting a classic country format in 2010. In November 2011, the station switched back to standards, using Dial Global Local's The Lounge format. After "The Lounge" was discontinued on June 17, 2012, WAKE switched to an oldies/classic hits format featuring hit music chiefly from the 1970s and early 1980s, again using a Dial Global source. Licensed to Valparaiso, Indiana, United States, the station is currently owned by Marion R. Williams. WAKE is a Class D radio station broadcasting on the clear-channel frequency of 1500 kHz. The Atlanta University Center Consortium (AUC Consortium) is the oldest and largest contiguous consortium of African-American higher education institutions in the United States. The center consists of four historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in southwest Atlanta, Georgia: Clark Atlanta University, Spelman College, Morehouse College, and the Morehouse School of Medicine. Simulcast (a portmanteau of simultaneous broadcast) is the broadcasting of programmes/programs or events across more than one resolution, bitrate or medium, or more than one service on the same medium, at exactly the same time (that is, simultaneously).
