WPAT-FM (93.1 FM) – branded "93.1 Amor" – is a radio station that programs a Spanish CHR radio format. Licensed to Paterson, New Jersey, the station is owned by the Spanish Broadcasting System and serves the New York metropolitan area. It has studios in Midtown Manhattan, and the transmitter is located at the Empire State Building. WPAT-FM broadcasts in HD. History WPAT-FM signed on in 1957 with studios in Newark, New Jersey. Its frequency of 93.1 MHz had previously been assigned to Edwin Howard Armstrong's Alpine, New Jersey station, KE2XCC, until it went off the air in 1954. Pennsuco, Florida
Pennsuco is a former rural community in Miami-Dade County, Florida, along the Miami Canal and U.S. Route 27. It was established in 1920 by the Pennsylvania Sugar Company, which built a sugar cane plantation and sugar mill, and a self-contained community housing employees and their families. The sugar operation failed by 1925, largely due to a series of floods and killing frosts which ruined crops; the land was then adapted for regular truck farming until 1931, when the company ended operations at the site. A post office operated here until 1933, and the area continued as a farming community.
