WCW Magazine
''WCW Magazine'' was the official professional wrestling magazine of World Championship Wrestling. This incarnation of the magazine contained lifestyle sections, a monthly calendar, entertainment, work out tips, and other information. Originally known as ''NWA/WCW Wrestling Wrap-Up'' from 1989 to 1991 with Dennis Brent as Editor-in-Chief. ''WCW Magazine'' was launched and ran from 1991 - 1994 from Kappa Publishing. It was relaunched in 1995 - 1999 and was published and edited by Colin Bowman. Between 1999 - 2001 the final issues were published in-house by WCW, ceasing once the wrestling promotion was sold to WWE. The August 1991 edition of ''WCW Magazine'' sold 80,000 copies in Great Britain, making it the highest selling imported magazine launch to that point. Dallas Page (born Page Joseph Falkinburg Jr., April 5, 1956), better known by his ring name Diamond Dallas Page (often stylized as DDP), is an American actor and retired Professional wrestling, professional wrestler. In the course of his wrestling career Page has wrestled for mainstream wrestling promotions World Championship Wrestling (WCW), the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE), Impact Wrestling, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), and All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. World Championship Wrestling, Inc. (WCW) was an American professional wrestling promotion founded by Ted Turner in 1988, after Turner Broadcasting System, through a subsidiary named Universal Wrestling Corporation, purchased the assets of National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) territory Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP) (which had aired its programming on TBS).
