Professional Wrestling Promotion
A professional wrestling promotion is a company or business that regularly performs shows involving professional wrestling that has little relationship to the rules of the amateur olympic form. "Promotion" also describes a role which entails management, advertising and logistics of running a wrestling event (''see promoter''). Within the convention of the show, the company is a sports governing body which sanctions wrestling matches and gives authority to the championships and is responsible for maintaining the divisions and their rankings. In truth, the company serves as a touring theatre troupe, as well as event promotion body for its own events. The most prominent promotions in the United States are World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor (ROH), Major League Wrestling (MLW), and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). Box Y Lucha
''Box y Lucha'' is a Spanish language magazine and website. It is the oldest lucha libre magazine still in existence and one of the first ones to be published. It also covers boxing and other martial arts. History The magazine began publication in 1954 in Mexico City under the name ''Lucha Libre'', later renamed ''Lucha Libre y Box'', and finally to ''Box y Lucha''. It became the best established wrestling magazine in Mexico until the 2000s when it was taken over by ''Súper Luchas''. In 1955 the magazine became the first publication to cover the subject of wrestling masks. After the 1990s the magazine and its rival ''Súper Luchas'' were the only two Mexican wrestling magazines to survive after the industry, in general, went down. Ambler is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is located approximately 16 miles (26 km) north of the Center City Philadelphia. In the English speaking professional wrestling culture, a "dirt sheet" is a List of professional wrestling magazines, wrestling magazine, wrestling newsletter or List of professional wrestling websites, website that covers professional wrestling from a real-life perspective as opposed to treating the storylines as real. Another term sometimes used for these publications is "rag sheet." Reputation Many wrestlers in the past resented so-called "dirt sheets" since they felt that they ruined the business by breaking kayfabe, i.e. exposing professional wrestling as staged. Nicholas Aldis (born 6 November 1986) is an English professional wrestler best known for his time in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). He is also known for his time in Impact Wrestling under the ring name Magnus. Lance Timothy Evers (; born April 3, 1969), known professionally by his ring name Lance Storm, is a Canadian retired professional wrestler. He is best known for his work in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where he held a combined 13 total championships (including holding three titles simultaneously in WCW).
