Dobyns-Bennett High School
Dobyns-Bennett High School is a high school (grades 9–12) in Kingsport, Tennessee, United States. It typically educates around 1,800 students, although enrollment for the 2014–15 academic year exceeded 2,100 students. As a part of Kingsport City Schools, students must be city residents paying city taxes to attend. Students that are not residents of the city may pay a tuition fee to attend. This tuition is collected to account for tax differences between county and city residents in order to help subsidize the cost of school programs and facilities. Kingsport City Schools is a public school district that serves the residents of the city of Kingsport, Tennessee, USA. In November 2014, the district's schools had a combined enrollment of 7,100. Bays Mountain
Bays Mountain is a ridge of the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians, located in eastern Tennessee. It runs southwest to northeast, from just south of Knoxville to Kingsport. Its southern segment is relatively low in elevation (up to about ). In some places it essentially merges with the surrounding plains, especially where it is bisected by the French Broad River and the Nolichucky River. The northern segment of Bays Mountain reaches higher elevations, averaging above with peaks reaching up to . It is not a single ridge, but rather a series of closely related ridges, some of which have names of their own(Fodderstack, Lost, Stone, Browns).
