History Originally WMSH-FM, the station changed its call sign to WRKZ and branded as "Z107" with a country format in 1980. The station was last owned by Radio Broadcasting Services, Inc., part of the Champlain Media Group. It aired a mainstream rock radio format, simulcast on co-owned 103.3 FM WWMP in Waterbury. Effective radiated power (ERP), synonymous with equivalent radiated power, is an IEEE standardized definition of directional radio frequency (RF) power, such as that emitted by a radio transmitter.
