Voice TV is a Thai television channel, notable for its liberal and pro-Thaksin stance and political-centric analysis. It is broadcast via ''digital terrestrial television'' (from 2014 until 2019), satellite, cable (as Video To Home 2), and web streaming. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. Channel 8 is a Thai digital television channel that broadcasts entertainment, foreign TV series, and sports. It is owned and operated by RS Vision Company Limited (a subsidiary of RS Group) . The channel is based in Bangkok, Thailand, where it is available on both C and KU bands. Channel 8 broadcasts popular events such as HBO World Championship Boxing plus domestic and self-produced programs. History Channel 8 began broadcasting on a satellite platform in December 2010. It officially launched as a 24-hour free-to-air television channel on 5 January 2011. On 17 August 2013, Channel 8 upgraded its production and broadcast equipment to high-definition. He served in the Thai Police from 1973 to 1987, and was the Prime Minister of Thailand from 2001 to 2006. Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. "Standard" refers to it being the prevailing specification for broadcast (and later, cable) television in the mid- to late-20th century, and compatible with legacy analog broadcast systems. The two common SDTV signal types are 576i, with 576 interlaced lines of resolution, derived from the European-developed PAL and SECAM systems, and 480i based on the American NTSC system.
