Viva Purple
Viva Purple is a line on the Viva bus rapid transit system in York Region, Ontario, Canada. The route primarily runs in an east–west direction along the Highway 7 Rapidway in Markham and Richmond Hill. It is operated by Tok Transit under contract from York Region. Route description Viva Purple operates along Highway 7 from Richmond Hill Centre Terminal in the west, to Cornell Terminal in the east. Viva Purple also operates an 'A' branch service along Enterprise Boulevard between Town Centre Boulevard and Kennedy Road. Alternating buses serve this branch (and the Highway 7 branch) except during weekday rush hour. Viva Purple connects with all other Viva lines except Viva Yellow and Viva Blue A. Bus rapid transit (BRT), also called a busway or transitway, is a bus-based public transport system designed to have much more capacity, reliability and other quality features than a conventional bus system. Langstaff GO Station
Langstaff GO Station is a train and bus station in the GO Transit network located in Richmond Hill, Ontario in Canada. It is a stop on the Richmond Hill line train service. In May 2005, construction of a new and more modern station building was completed, replacing the previous station building at Langstaff Road and using the north end of the same train platform. The south building was converted to a waiting room after the new station building opened for service on June 6, 2005. The new building has a ticket office for passengers to purchase bus and train tickets on weekday mornings. Langstaff Road East was the original routing of Highway 7 between Yonge Street and Bayview Avenue. Viva Yellow or the Davis Drive corridor line, is a Viva bus rapid transit line that serves Newmarket, Ontario, Canada on the Davis Drive Rapidway. York Region, located in southcentral Ontario, Canada, assigned approximately 50 regional roads, each with a number ranging from 1 to 99. All expenses of York Regional Roads (for example, snow shovelling, road repairs, traffic lights) are funded by the York Region government. The Highway 7 Rapidway in York Region, Ontario, Canada, is a bus rapid transit right-of-way that runs from Bruce Street in Vaughan to Birchmount Road in Markham. There are plans to extend it west to Highway 50 and east to Cornell Terminal. It is served by Viva Purple, Viva Pink, Viva Orange and Viva Green bus routes.
