Vishal Vinod kumar Joshi (born 21 Sept 1984 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India) is a cricketer who plays for Saurashtra in Indian domestic cricket. Off Break
Off spin is a type of finger spin bowling in cricket. A bowler who uses this technique is called an off spinner. Off spinners are right-handed spin bowlers who use their fingers to spin the ball. Their normal delivery is an off break, which spins from left to right (from the bowler's perspective) when the ball bounces on the pitch. Bowling, in cricket, is the action of propelling the ball toward the wicket defended by a batter. Saurashtra cricket team is one of the three first-class cricket teams based in Gujarat (the others being Baroda and Gujarat) that compete in the first-class tournament Ranji Trophy and limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Competition history Previous teams from Saurashtra were Nawanagar and Western India. Nawanagar won the Ranji Trophy in 1936–37 and were runners up in 1937–38. Western India won the Ranji Trophy in 1943–44. Saurashtra began competing in the 1950-51 Ranji Trophy. They were runners-up in the Ranji Trophy to Mumbai in 2012–13 and 2015–16 and in 2018–19 against Vidarbha. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. Twenty20 Cricket
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. Uttar Pradesh Cricket Team
The Uttar Pradesh cricket team, formerly United Provinces Cricket Team, is a domestic cricket team which is based in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, run by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association. The team competes in the first-class cricket tournament Ranji Trophy and limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. They have won the Ranji Trophy in 2005–06 and have been runners-up on five occasions. 2012–13 Ranji Trophy
The 2012–13 Ranji Trophy was the 79th season of the Ranji Trophy. It was contested by 27 teams divided into three groups of nine teams each. The top three teams from Groups A and B proceeded to the quarterfinals along with the top two teams from Group C. Mumbai won this year's trophy for the 40th time by beating Saurashtra in the final at the Wankhede. The season had a different grouping system compared to that of the previous seasons, which had Elite and Plate divisions. The new system also increased the number of matches of the tournament. The points awarded to outright wins were increased from five to six in order to encourage results. The knock-out matches will be played across five days instead of four.
