Vincent Boussard
Vincent Boussard (born 21 April 1969) is a French opera and theatre director. First a specialist for early opera, he became known for his versions of romantic operas, sometimes in international collaboration. His staging of Massenet's ''Manon'' was presented at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Vilnius National Opera, the San Francisco Opera and the Korea National Opera. His production of Bellini's ''I puritani'' was shown at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie and the Oper Frankfurt. Career Born in Angers, Boussard studied at the Paris Nanterre University and graduated as a Master of Theatre. He was the assistant to several directors in theatre and opera. The Strasbourg Opera House (), located on Place Broglie on the Grande Île in the city center of Strasbourg, in the French department of the Bas-Rhin, is the main seat and mother house of the opera company Opéra national du Rhin. It has been classified as a Monument historique since 1921. History After a fire in 1800 that destroyed a previous opera house, also located on Place Broglie, the Strasbourg municipality set up plans for a new one in 1804. Lionel Bringuier
Lionel Bringuier (born 24 September 1986), Nice, is a French conductor, cellist and pianist. Bringuier is the fourth child in a family of musicians, including his brother Nicolas Bringuier, a pianist. At age 5, Bringuier began musical studies at the Nice conservatory, where he won several first prizes. At age 13, in February 2000, he was admitted to the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris, where he continued his studies in cello and in conducting. His teachers there have included Philippe Muller. At the Conservatoire de Paris, he then began conducting studies, where his teachers included Zsolt Nagy. Yves Abel
Yves Abel (born 1963) is a Canadian conductor. Career Abel was born in Toronto, Ontario, the son of French parents. He made his professional debut as a boy, singing solo in Mozart's ''The Magic Flute'' at the Canadian Opera Company. He studied piano and conducting at The New School for Music of the Mannes College in New York City. In 1988, Abel founded the company Opéra Français de New York, which focuses on rarely played French operas. Also its musical director, he presented there the world premiere of Pascal Dusapin's ''To be sung''. Abel was principal guest conductor of the Deutsche Oper Berlin from 2005 to 2011. The Opéra de Marseille, known today as the Opéra Municipal, is an opera company located in Marseille, France. In 1685, the city was the second in France after Bordeaux to have an opera house which was erected on a tennis court. However, the first real theatre, the ''Grand-Théâtre'' or ''Salle Bauveau'' was constructed in 1787. The Semperoper () is the opera house of the Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden (Saxon State Opera) and the concert hall of the Staatskapelle Dresden (Saxon State Orchestra).
