Viljo Kajava
Viljo Lennart Kajava (22 September 1909 – 2 February 1998) was a Finnish poet and writer. He was born in Tampere, and his first collections of poems were released in 1935. During his 50-year career he published nearly 40 books, most of them poems. Kavaja's ''Tampereen runot'' ("Poems of Tampere 1918") has become a symbol of the pacifistic point of view of the Finnish Civil War. Tampere ( , , ; sv, Tammerfors, ) is a city in the Pirkanmaa region, located in the western part of Finland. Tampere is the most populous inland city in the Nordic countries. It has a population of 244,029; the urban area has a population of 341,696; and the metropolitan area, also known as the Tampere sub-region, has a population of 393,941 in an area of .
