Vikramadityan
Vikramadityan (born 25 September 1947) is a Tamil poet from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. He has published 16 volumes of poetry, two short-story collections, and 7 anthologies of essays. He is the recipient of the 2021 Vishnupuram Award. Life and career Vikramadityan's given name is Nambirajan. He was born and brought up in the Kallathi Mudukku street area of Tirunelveli town. He adopted an itinerant lifestyle early on and has lived in Kutralam,Tenkasi and Chennai. He is married and has two sons. Vikramadityan took up various kinds of jobs as he grew up. One of his first jobs was with the literary journal ''Sodhanai'' run by the poet Na. Kamarasan. Later he worked for a series of magazines including ''Visitor'', ''Aswini'', ''Mayan'', ''Idhayam Pesukiradhu'', ''Thaai'', '' Tharasu'' and Nakkheeran. Vishnupuram Award
Vishnupuram Award is a literary award instituted by '' Vishnupuram Ilakkiya Vattam'', the literary organization created by writer Jeyamohan and his readers. The award was named after the writer's famous novel in Tamil, ''Vishnupuram''. This award was initiated to honour the under-recognized pioneers and senior writers in Tamil literature. Lyricist Vikiramathithyan
A lyricist is a songwriter who writes lyrics (the spoken words), as opposed to a composer, who writes the song's music which may include but not limited to the melody, harmony, arrangement and accompaniment. Royalties A lyricist's income derives from royalties received from original songs. ''Tharasu'' is a Tamil language weekly magazine started in 1985 in Chennai, with a focus on politics. ''Tharasu'' was the first of a new type of Tamil language Tabloid (newspaper format), tabloid in the 1980s. It focused on corruption and "political gossip" but also covered local village-level issues. ''Tharasu'' was perceived an "anti establishment" voice and also a sensationalistic one.
