Viking Fotballklubb, commonly known as Viking or Viking Stavanger internationally, is a Norwegian football club from the city of Stavanger. The club was founded in 1899. It is one of the most successful clubs in Norwegian football, having won 8 Norwegian top division titles, most recently in 1991, and 6 domestic Norwegian Cup titles, most recently in 2019. The club has played more top-flight league games than any other club in Norway. It has played in the top division since the league was established, except for the years 1966–67, 1987–88 and 2018. Notable European successes include knocking English side Chelsea out of the UEFA Cup during the 2002–03 season, knocking out Sporting CP from the same tournament in 1999–2000, and qualifying for the group stages of the 2005–06 UEFA Cup. Viking Stadion
Viking Stadion (currently named SR-Bank Arena for sponsorship purposes), is a football stadium in Stavanger, Norway. It was inaugurated in May 2004 and cost 160 million NOK (€20 million) to build. 50 million NOK, plus the lot it was built on, was a gift from the municipality. It replaced Stavanger Stadion as the home stadium of Viking FK. In 2006, the stadium was expanded beyond the original capacity of 15,300 to 16,600. The capacity was later reduced to 16,300 in 2012 to make room for two giant screens. From 2018 the capacity is again reduced to 15,900. Originally an all-seater stadium, parts of the west stand have been converted to safe standing in recent years. The record attendance is 16,600 from 24 June 2007, when Viking met Brann. Jåttåvågen railway station, which serves the Jæren Commuter Rail, is located right outside the stadium. 1933 Norwegian Football Cup
The 1933 Norwegian Football Cup was the 32nd season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The tournament was open for all members of NFF, except those from Northern Norway. The final was played at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo on 15 October 1933, and Mjøndalen secured their first title with a 3–1 win against Viking. Mjøndalen had previously played two cup finals but lost both in 1924 and 1931, while Viking played their first final. Fredrikstad were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Viking in the fourth round. Edgar Falch
Edgar Falch (2 November 1930 – 18 November 2013) was a Norwegian international football defender. Falch played for Viking his entire career where he played 139 league games and scored nine goals. He won the league with Viking in 1957–58 and the Cup in 1953 and 1959. Falch was capped 28 times for Norway. Sverre Andersen
Sverre Andersen (9 October 1936 – 1 November 2016) was a Norwegian footballer. He made his debut for Viking FK in 1952 as a goalkeeper, and played his last game in 1971. He played a total of 482 games for Viking (262 in Norwegian league). For many years, he was considered the best goalkeeper in Norway. He won goalkeeper of the year in 1962, 1963, 1965 and 1968 in the VG Awards. National team Sverre Andersen made his Norway debut on 30 June 1954 when he played for the U19 in a game against Denmark in Odense. On 19 September he made his debut for U21 in a game against Sweden. Sandefjord Ballklubb is a Norwegian football club from Sandefjord, currently playing in Norwegian Fourth Division, the fifth tier in the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 27 February 1917. Their home matches are played at Storstadion in Sandefjord. History Sandefjord Ballklubb was established in 1917 under the name ''Sportsklubben Frem''. It received its current name in 1918. In 1919, the team participated in the Norwegian championships for the first time. Lillestrøm Sportsklubb is a Norwegian professional football club from the city of Lillestrøm, just outside of the capital Oslo. Lillestrøm SK is a Norwegian football club based in Lillestrøm, playing in Eliteserien. The club was founded in 1917, after the merger of two local football clubs.
