Victoire Wirix (1875–1938) was a Dutch artist. Biography Wirix was born on 28 June 1875 in Maastricht. She studied at the ''Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten'' and the ''Internationaal schildersatelier''. Her teachers included , , Marie de Jonge, Martin Monnickendam, Gerard Overman (1855-1906), Coba Ritsema, and Nicolaas van der Waay. She was a member of the Arti et Amicitiae. The Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten (State Academy of Fine Arts) was founded in 1870 in Amsterdam. It is a classical academy, a place where philosophers, academics and artists meet to test and exchange ideas and knowledge. The school supports visual artists with a two-year curriculum. The Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten was the home of Amsterdam Impressionism, part of the international impressionist movement, and is known as the School of Allebé by art historians; August Allebé became the school's director in 1880. Eva Maria Alida de Jonge (1872-1951) was a Dutch painter. Biography De Jonge was born on 24 December 1872 in Amersfoort. She studied at the ''Akademie van beeldende kunsten (Den Haag)'' (Royal Academy of Art, The Hague) and the ''Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten'' (State Academy of Fine Arts). Her teachers included Lucien Simon and Nicolaas van der Waay. De Jonge's work was included in the 1939 exhibition and sale ''Onze Kunst van Heden'' (Our Art of Today) at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Martin Monnickendam
Martin Monnickendam (February 25, 1874 – January 4, 1943) was a Dutch people, Dutch painter and draftsman. Life Monnickendam was born in Amsterdam and trained at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten there from 1891. His early work is mostly animal drawings made at Natura Artis Magistra. He continued his studies in Paris at the École des Arts et Métiers from 1895. He won various awards and took study trips to London and Italy. Nicolaas van der Waay (1855–1936) was a Dutch decorative artist, watercolorist and lithographer. He worked in many genres, including stamp, coin and banknote designs. He is perhaps best known for the allegorical illustrations he created for the Golden Coach and a series of paintings depicting the lives of girls from the Amsterdam Orphanage. Arti et Amicitiae (lat .: For Art and Friendship) is a Dutch artist's society founded in 1839, and located on the Rokin in Amsterdam. The Society (also called Arti for short) has played a key role in the Netherlands art scene and in particular in the Amsterdam art schools. s-Graveland is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Wijdemeren, and lies about 4 km northwest of Hilversum.
