Martin Monnickendam
Martin Monnickendam (February 25, 1874 – January 4, 1943) was a Dutch people, Dutch painter and draftsman. Life Monnickendam was born in Amsterdam and trained at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten there from 1891. His early work is mostly animal drawings made at Natura Artis Magistra. He continued his studies in Paris at the École des Arts et Métiers from 1895. He won various awards and took study trips to London and Italy. Today, his work is seen as being in the school of George Breitner.Martin Monnickendam in the RKD He became a member of Arti et Amicitiae in 1904 and a member of the :nl:Kunstenaarsvereniging Sint Lucas, Vereeniging Sint Lucas in 1905. He became a teacher in Amsterdam at the international painting academy there. Joods Historisch Museum
The (; en, Jewish Museum), part of the Jewish Cultural Quarter, is a museum in Amsterdam dedicated to Jewish history, culture and religion, in the Netherlands and worldwide. It is the only museum in the Netherlands dedicated to Jewish history. History The Joods Museum opened its doors on 24 February 1932 and was initially housed at the Waag (Weighing House) on Nieuwmarkt square. Following the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands in World War II, the museum was forced to close and much of the collection was lost. The museum reopened its doors in 1955. In 1987, it moved to a new location, occupying four former synagogues on Jonas Daniël Meijerplein square, across the road from the Snoge or Portuguese Synagogue (for which joint tickets are sold). The Amsterdam Museum, known until 2010 as the Amsterdam Historical Museum, is an Amsterdam-based museum dedicated to the city's past and present. Due to the renovation of its main location, the museum is temporarily located in the building the Amstelhof on the Amstel River, together with the Hermitage Amsterdam and the dependence of the Museum van de Geest. Gemeentemuseum Den Haag
The Kunstmuseum Den Haag is an art museum in The Hague in the Netherlands, founded in 1866 as the Museum voor Moderne Kunst. Later, until 1998, it was known as Haags Gemeentemuseum, and until the end of September 2019 as Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. It has a collection of around 165,000 works, over many different forms of art.
