Veselin Branimirov Atanasov (Bulgarian language, Bulgarian: Веселин Бранимиров Атанасов; born 25 August 1975 in Varna, Bulgaria, Varna) is a Bulgarian Association football, football coach and a former Defender (association football), defender who is currently manager. He has 3 caps at international level for the Bulgaria national football team, Bulgarian national team. Career In his club career, Veselin Branimirov played for PFC Cherno More Varna, Cherno More Varna (1994–95), PFC Naftex Burgas, Neftochimic Burgas (1995-05 and 2006) and Kazakhstani side FC Tobol, Tobol (2005). In January 2007, at the age of 31, he retired from football because of a waist injury. Coaching career On 27 September 2017, Branimirov was appointed as manager of Second Professional Football League (Bulgaria), Second League club OFC Pomorie, Pomorie. It is the country's main cup competition and all officially registered Bulgarian football teams take part in it.
