Veronika Sabolová
Veronika Sabolová (born 20 March 1980 in Košice) is a Slovak luger who has competed since 1995. Competing in three Winter Olympics, she earned her best finish of 14th in the women's singles event at Vancouver in 2010. Sabolová's best finish at the FIL World Luge Championships was tenth in the women's singles event at Nagano in 2004. Her best finish at the FIL European Luge Championships was 13th in the women's singles event at Oberhof in 2004 2004 was designated as an International Year of Rice by the United Nations, and the International Year to Commemorate the Struggle Against Slavery and its Abolition (by UNESCO). The Oberhof bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track is a venue used for bobsled, luge and skeleton located in Oberhof, Germany. History Oberhof had been the home of sledding activities since 1905, mostly bobsleigh. The FIL European Luge Championships, part of the International Luge Federation (FIL) have taken place since 1914.
