Velden (Vils)
Velden is a market town and municipality in the district of Landshut (district), Landshut in Bavaria in Germany. Geography Velden lies on the border from Lower Bavaria to Upper Bavaria. The river Vils (Danube), Vils runs through the town. Velden is about 64 kilometers northeast of Munich. The municipality consists of 130 villages and communes History The first mentioning of a Place named Feldin is found in 773. In 788 King Charlemagne, Charles the Great displaced the bavarian Duke Tassilo III, Duke of Bavaria, Tassilo III and made it a part of Francia. Later it became a Municipality with Market town status, but it is not sure when this happened as there does not exist a certificate of appointment. The first time the market status is mentioned was in a writ in 1394. Transport Velden once had a railway connection to Dorfen via Taufkirchen. Aigrefeuille-d'Aunis is a commune in the Charente-Maritime department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of south-western France. The inhabitants are known as ''Aigrefeuillais'' or ''Aigrefeuillaises''. Sophie Kratzer
Sophie Kratzer (20 April 1989 – 13 January 2020) was a German ice hockey forward. International career Sophie Kratzer grew up in Velden (Vils) and started her hockey career in the youth teams of local clubs ''ESC Dorfen'' and ''ESV Gebensbach''. From 2003 to 2017 she played in the Premier Division (1. Bundesliga) for the ''ESC Planegg'', and won seven German icehockey championships with the team. Kratzer was selected for the Germany women's national ice hockey team in the 2014 Winter Olympics. She had two assists in five games. Kratzer also played for Germany in the qualifying event for the 2014 Winter Olympics. As of 2014, Kratzer had also appeared for Germany at three IIHF Women's World Championships.
