Valri Bromfield
Valri Bromfield (born February 10, 1949) is a Canadian comedian, actress, writer, and television producer who started her career as one half of a comedy team with Dan Aykroyd. Together, they joined the first Toronto company of The Second City where she was one of the original players. Career She formed a comedy team with Dan Aykroyd. Bromfield was a regular performer on the 1974 '' The Bobbie Gentry Show''. She performed comedy on the first episode of ''Saturday Night Live'' on October 11, 1975. Between dress rehearsal and the live airing, Lorne Michaels told her she had to cut her monologue from five minutes to two. She also appeared on another ''SNL'' episode in 1978. Popples
Popples is a toy and television franchise created by Those Characters From Cleveland (TCFC), a subsidiary of American Greetings. Popples resemble brightly colored marsupial teddy bears with long tails ending in a pom-pom. Each Popple character transforms to resemble a brightly colored ball. In 2018, Popples was sold to Hasbro. History Susan Trentel, who worked for TCFC and had created the first prototypes on Strawberry Shortcake and Care Bears, was the plush toy designer who invented the method for transforming the Popple. Supposedly, the idea came from rolling up socks. Trentel worked with art director Thomas Schneider on the creation of the first prototypes (Patent #4614505). ''Camp Candy'' is a 1989-1992 animated television series produced by DIC Animation City, Saban Entertainment and Worldvision Enterprises, in association with Frostbacks Productions, with comedian John Candy providing the voice for an animated version of himself. Thirteen new episodes ran in syndication in the 1992 season, distributed by Worldvision Enterprises, along with repeats of the previous episodes. Marilyn Sadler is a children's writer with a deadpan sense of humor. She was born November 17, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. ''Witch's Night Out'' is a Canadian animated television Halloween special that premiered on NBC October 27, 1978. Produced in a Toronto studio, it was the sequel to the 1974 special ''The Gift of Winter'' with the vocal talents from Dan Aykroyd and Valri Bromfield. It featured the voices of Fiona Reid as Nicely and Catherine O'Hara as Malicious, with Gilda Radner as the titular witch. ''This Is My Life'' is a 1992 American comedy-drama film that marked the directorial debut of screenwriter Nora Ephron.
