Vallensbæk
Vallensbæk is a seaside western suburb of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is part of the Greater Copenhagen Area. It forms its own municipality, Vallensbæk Municipality, which is one of the smallest Danish municipalities. It borders Køge Bay, and the Køge Bay Beach Park (Danish: Køge Bugt Strandpark) along the coast. The suburb of Vallensbæk consists of two sections, not directly connected to each other: Vallensbæk Nordmark in the north and Vallensbæk Strand in the south. The two parts of the town are commonly referred to together as Vallensbæk. History Vallensbæk is known from at least 1184, where it was mentioned as ''Wolensbech''. The parish municipality (Danish: ''sognekommune'') of Vallensbæk was founded in 1842. Vallensbæk Municipality is a municipality (Danish language, Danish: ''Municipalities of Denmark, kommune'') in the Capital Region of Denmark on Zealand. It is part of the Urban area of Copenhagen, Greater Copenhagen area and consist primarily of the suburb of Vallensbæk. It is one of the smallest municipalities in Denmark in terms of area. Vallensbæk Municipality borders the municipalities of Ishøj Municipality, Ishøj, Høje-Taastrup Municipality, Høje-Taastrup, Albertslund Municipality, Albertslund and Brøndby Municipality, Brøndby. It borders Køge Bay, and the Køge Bay Beach Park (Danish: ''Køge Bugt Strandpark'') along the coast. A is a service on the S-train network in Copenhagen. It is one of the base services on the network, running every 20 minutes from about 5:00 to 0:30 every day, and every 10 minutes from about 6:15 to 19:00. Køge Bugt-banen
Køge Bugt-banen is one of six radial S-train lines in Copenhagen; it connects the city center to communities along Køge Bugt (''the bay of Køge'') and terminates in the city of Køge about 35 km southwest of central Copenhagen. The Capital Region of Denmark ( da, Region Hovedstaden, ) is the easternmost administrative region of Denmark. The Capital Region has 29 municipalities and a regional council consisting of 41 elected members. As of 1 August 2021 the chairperson is Lars Gaardhøj, who is a member of the Social Democrats party of Denmark. The Capital Region was established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform. This reform abolished the traditional counties (Danish plural: , singular: ) and created five regions. As part of this reform 271 smaller municipalities were merged into larger units reducing the number of municipalities to 98. Nicolai Wael (born 10 May 1972) is a Danish football manager. He was most recently the manager of Ringkøbing IF. In April 2013 it was announced that he would replace Thomas Thomasberg as manager of FC Fredericia form the beginning of the 2013–14 season. Pia Olsen Dyhr
Pia Olsen Dyhr (born 30 November 1971 in Vallensbæk, Copenhagen) is a Danish politician who has been a member of the Folketing for the Socialist People's Party since the 2007 general elections. Dyhr has served as Minister for Trade and Investment and later Minister of Transport in the first Helle Thorning-Schmidt Cabinet. Following her party's resignation from the cabinet, Dyhr was elected as chairman for the Socialist People's Party. Background Dyhr graduated from Ishøj Gymnasium in 1985. She studied at the College of Europe from 1992 to 1993 and received an MA in European studies. In 1994, she graduated from the University of Copenhagen with a degree in political science. Ishøj Municipality (Danish: ''Ishøj Kommune'') is a municipality (Danish: '' kommune'') in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers 26 km², with a total population of 21,675 (1 April 2014), many of whom are Pakistani, African, Arab, or Turkish immigrants. The urban area of Copenhagen (also known as Greater Copenhagen) ( da, Storkøbenhavn or ), lying mostly in the Capital Region of Denmark but also in Region Zealand, consist of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg municipalities and the former Copenhagen County.
