Køge Bugt-banen
Køge Bugt-banen is one of six radial S-train lines in Copenhagen; it connects the city center to communities along Køge Bugt (''the bay of Køge'') and terminates in the city of Køge about 35 km southwest of central Copenhagen. Stations Service patterns The basic service pattern consists of the A service which runs until Hundige and stops at all stations, and E, which runs partially non-stop until Ishøj and then stops at all stations until Køge. History Køge Bugt-banen is the only one of the six S-train radials that was originally built as an S-train line. It opened in four phases between 1972 and 1983. It was originally envisaged that its main role would be as a "picnic railway" providing access for city-dwellers to the beaches between Brøndby Strand and Hundige, but after the first phase was completed it became evident that transporting commuters were more important. Banedanmark (; previously Banestyrelsen) is a Denmark, Danish company that is responsible for the maintenance and traffic control on all of the state owned Rail transport in Denmark, Danish railway network. It is one of the base services on the network, running every 20 minutes from about 5:00 to 0:30 every day, and every 10 minutes from about 6:15 to 19:00. Ringbanen (the "ring line") is an S-train line in Copenhagen. Its route is roughly semicircular, running around the central part of Copenhagen and connecting the S-train radials about 5 km out. Stations Service pattern Trains on the ring line carry service designator F (S-train) and run from 5:30 to 0:50. In the period between about 7.00 and 19.00 on Monday to Friday, there is one stopping train every 5 minutes. Outside this period, there is one stopping train every 10 minutes. Frederikssundbanen is one of six radial S-train lines in Copenhagen; it connects the city center with a number of Northwestern suburbs (notably Herlev and Ballerup) and other townships until Frederikssund on the Western coast of the Nordsjælland peninsula. Stations Service patterns The service pattern on the inner part of the line is the C service which stops at all stations until Ballerup. On the outer part the basic service is H, which runs partially non-stop until Ballerup. The H service is peculiar in that its frequency is ''not'' doubled during daylight hours, as all other basic S-train services are. Instead, in the period where C is doubled, half of its trains continue to Frederikssund, providing 6 trains per hour in total on the outer part of the line, too.
