Valery Kechinov
Valery Viktorovich Kechinov (russian: Валерий Викторович Кечинов; born 5 August 1974) is a Uzbekistani and Russian former international footballer, who spent the majority of his playing career at Spartak Moscow. Playing career Kechinov was born in Uzbekistan and started his professional career at local Pakhtakor, with whom he won the Uzbek League title, before moving to Moscow. With Spartak, Kechinov won six Russian Premier League titles and one Cup. In 2001, after falling out with Oleg Romantsev, Kechinov spent almost entire season on the bench and at the end of the season signed a deal with Saturn Ramenskoe. Kechinov wasn't the only player to have problems with the Spartak management at that time, earlier other star players such as Ilia Tsymbalar, Andrey Tikhonov, Sergey Yuran, Ramiz Mamedov and Evgeniy Bushmanov were forced to leave the team for similar reasons. Listed below are the dates and results for the 1998 FIFA World Cup qualification rounds for the European zone (UEFA). A total of 50 UEFA teams entered the competition; Andorra, which joined FIFA and UEFA in November 1996 while the qualifiers were underway, could not enter. The European zone was allocated 15 places (out of 32) in the final tournament. France, the hosts, qualified automatically, leaving 14 spots open for competition between 49 teams. The 49 teams were divided into nine groups, four groups of six teams and five groups of five teams. The teams would play against each other on a home-and-away basis. The group winners would qualify. Central Dynamo Stadium was a stadium in Moscow, Russia. It was built in 1928 and held 36,540 people. It was the home ground for Dynamo Moscow. It was central venue of the All-Soviet Dynamo sports society and carried special name of ''Central'' to denote its importance. Until the construction of the Central Lenin Stadium in 1956, the Central Dynamo Stadium was the central sports facility in Moscow. The stadium was one of the venues of the football tournament of the 1980 Summer Olympics. A new stadium was built on the same spot and is named VTB Arena. Qualifying for UEFA Euro 1996 took place throughout 1994 and 1995. Forty-seven teams were divided into eight groups, with each team playing the others in their group both home and away. The winners of each group and the six best runners-up qualified automatically, while the two worst runners-up were involved in a play-off at a neutral venue.
