Vaida, Estonia
Vaida is a Populated places in Estonia, small borough ( et, alevik) in Rae Parish, Harju County, northern Estonia. It's located about southeast of the capital Tallinn, by the European route E263, Tallinn–Tartu road (E263). Vaida has a population of 990 (as of 1 January 2010). Vaida was first mentioned in 1241 in the Danish Census Book. Vaida Manor (''Wait'') was established in the 1630s, during the almost three centuries of existence the manor had many owners. The 1-storey main building from the beginning of the 19th century was burned down during the 1905 Russian Revolution, 1905 Revolution. In 1911 an ethnic Estonians, Estonian Jaan Saar built a new wooden main building, but this also burned down in 1945. Nowadays mainly the park has remained from the former manor. In the Soviet times a sovkhoz operated in Vaida. Nowadays there are primary school, library and a post office in Vaida. Counties ( et, maakond, plural ') are the first-level administrative subdivisions of Estonia. Estonian territory is composed of 15 counties, including 13 on the mainland and 2 on islands. The government (') of each county is led by a ' (governor) who represents the national government (') at the regional level. Governors are appointed by the national government for a term of five years. Each county is further divided into municipalities of two types: urban municipalities (towns, ') and rural municipalities (parishes, '). The number and name of the counties were not affected. Rae Parish ( et, Rae vald) is a rural municipality in northern Estonia. It is a part of Harju County. Danish Census Book
The Danish Census Book or the Danish book of land taxation ( la, Liber Census Daniæ), ( da, Kong Valdemars Jordebog) dates from the 13th century and consists of a number of separate manuscripts. The original manuscripts are now housed in the Danish National Archives (''Rigsarkivet'') in Copenhagen. 1905 Russian Revolution
The Russian Revolution of 1905,. also known as the First Russian Revolution,. occurred on 22 January 1905, and was a wave of mass political and social unrest that spread through vast areas of the Russian Empire. The mass unrest was directed against the Tsar, nobility, and ruling class. It included worker strikes, peasant unrest, and military mutinies. In response to the public pressure, Tsar Nicholas II enacted some constitutional reform (namely the October Manifesto). This took the form of establishing the State Duma, the multi-party system, and the Russian Constitution of 1906.
