Vāne Parish
Vāne Parish ( lv, Vānes pagasts) was an administrative territorial entity of Tukums Municipality in the Courland region of Latvia. It was part of the former Kandava Municipality Kandava Municipality ( lv, Kandavas novads) is a former municipality in Courland, Latvia. The municipality was formed in 1999 by merging Cēre Parish and Kandava town with its countryside territory. Later it absorbed Matkule Parish, Vāne Pa ... from 2009 until 2021. History In the territory of today's Vāne Parish there were historically Aizupe Manor (german: Gut Ahsuppen, Aizupe), Vāne Manor (german: Gut Wahnen, Vane), Varieb Manor (german: Gut Warriben, Varieba). In 1935 the area of Vāne Parish was 60.2 km². In 1945 the parish councils of Vāne and Sarcene were established, but in 1949 the parish was dissolved. Administrative Divisions Of Latvia
The current administrative division of Latvia came into force on 1 July 2021. On 10 June 2020, the Saeima approved a municipal reform that would reduce the 110 municipalities and nine republic cities to 43 local government units consisting of 36 municipalities (''novadi'') and seven state cities (''valstspilsētas, plural''). On 1 June 2021, the Constitutional Court of Latvia ruled that the annexation of Varakļāni Municipality to Rēzekne Municipality was unconstitutional. In response, the Saeima decided to preserve the existence of Varakļāni Municipality as a 43rd local government unit. Previous municipal reforms after the restoration of Latvian independence were enacted in 2009 and 1990 (when parishes were restored). Tukums Municipality
Tukums Municipality ( lv, Tukuma novads) is a Latvian municipality situated partly in the region of Semigallia, partly in Courland and partly in Vidzeme. The municipality was formed in 2009 by merging Degole Parish, Džūkste Parish, Irlava Parish, Jaunsāti Parish, Lestene Parish, Pūre Parish, Sēme Parish, Slampe Parish, Tume Parish, Zentene Parish and Tukums town; the administrative centre being Tukums. Courland

Kandava Municipality
Kandava Municipality ( lv, Kandavas novads) is a former municipality in Courland, Latvia. The municipality was formed in 1999 by merging Cēre Parish and Kandava town with its countryside territory. Aizupe Manor
Aizupe Manor ( lv, Aizupes muižas pils, german: Gut Ahsuppen) is a manor house built in late classicism style in Vāne Parish, Tukums Municipality, in the Courland region of Latvia. Construction of the manor was completed in 1823. The building housed a forestry school from 1939 to 1985. History On the basis of the Treaty of Vilnius (November 1561), the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia was created from the part of Latvia between the west bank of the Daugava River and the Baltic Sea, specifically for Gotthard Kettler of the House of Kettler. At that time, the estate of Aizupe Manor came under the control of Gotthard Kettler, Duke of Courland and Semigallia, the last master of the Order of the Brothers of the Sword. Vāne Manor
Vāne Manor ( lv, Vānes muižas pils, german: Wahnen) is a 19th-century manor house in Vāne parish, Kandava municipality in the historical region of Zemgale, in Latvia. History Vāne estate was one of the largest properties in the area during the Baronial times, along with Aizupe. In the 16th century, the Livonian baron Solomon Hening (1528-1589), secretary of the Duke of Courland Gothard Kettler and trustee spent his last days in the Vāne manor. The existing Manor house was built in the 1870s in a Neo-Gothic style by architect T. Seiler, Manor house suffered extensive fire damage as a result of the 1905 Russian revolution. It was restored between 1936 and 1940 for the purpose of establishing a local school. It currently accommodates Vāne primary school. During the German occupation building was used as a hospital.
