VÃ¥lerenga Line
The Vålerenga Line ( no, Vålerengalinjen), also known as Helsfyr Line and Etterstad Line, is an abandoned line of the Oslo Tramway of Norway. It branched from the Gamlebyen Line in Schweigaards gate and ran into the neighborhoods of Vålerenga, Etterstad and Helsfyr. The line followed the streets of Schweigaards gate, St. Halvars gate, Enebakkveien, one direction each in Vålerenggata and Strømsveien, and Etterstadgata. The line continued as a suburban light rail as the Østensjø Line and the Lambertseter Line. The line was established by Kristiania Sporveisselskab (KSS) on 3 May 1900. In 1923 the first part of the Østensjø Line, owned by Akersbanerne, opened, as did KSS's Vålerenga Depot was opened. Ownership of the line passed to Oslo Sporveier in 1924. Bærumsbanen
A/S Bærumsbanen was a tram company that operated the Lillaker-, Kolsås and Østensjø Line of the Oslo Tramway, Norway, from 1924 to 1971 when the company became part of Oslo Sporveier. History In 1924 the two street tram operators in Oslo, Kristiania Sporveisselskab and Kristiania Elektriske Sporvei, were taken over by the municipal owned Oslo Sporveier. The final part of the Skøyen Line, from Skøyen to Lillaker was a suburban tramway located in the neighboring municipality of Aker, and the Municipality of Oslo was not interested in taking over it. Therefore the owner reorganized itself to A/S Kristiania Elektriske Sporvei Bærumsbanen (KES-BB), though changing their name to just A/S Bærumsbanen in 1935 after Oslo Sporveier bought 25% of the company on 1 October 1934. Lilleaker Line
The Lilleaker Line ( no, Lilleakerbanen) is a suburban tramway from Skøyen in Oslo westwards to Jar, Bærum in Norway. It is operated by Line 13 from Ljabru to Bekkestua of the Oslo Tramway, operated by Oslo Sporvognsdrift. The line continues on the Oslo Metro west of Jar as part of the KolsÃ¥s Line, and as a street tramway on the Oslo tramway system at Skøyen as the Skøyen Line. Route The Lilleaker Line runs from Skøyen to Jar. The line is a standard gauge, double track light rail line with 750 volt overhead wire. At Skøyen it connects with the Skøyen Line of the Oslo Tramway and at Jar to the KolsÃ¥s Line of the Oslo Metro. Most of the route is dominated by housing. Oppsal is a station on the Østensjø Line (line 3) of the Oslo Metro. It is located in the suburb of Oppsal, between the stations of Skøyenåsen and Ulsrud, from Stortinget. Østensjø () is a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway. The borough is in the southeastern part of Oslo. It is well known for its proximity to the forested area of Østmarka, a popular resort and hiking area for the citizens of Oslo and Lørenskog. Aker, Norway
Aker was a former independent municipality in Akershus, Norway, that constitutes the vast majority of the territory of the modern city of Oslo. The name originally belonged to a farm which was located near the current Old Aker Church. Sagene Line
The Sagene Line ( no, Sagenelinjen) is a former line of the Oslo Tramway in Norway. It ran from Stortorvet in the city center along Akersgata and Ullevålsveien through the neighborhood of St. Hanshaugen. It then continued along Colletts gate, Geitmyrsveien and Kierschouws gate to Sagene. At Sagene Church it had a regulation stop and access to Sagene Depot. Kampen Line
Kampenlinjen (English: Kampen Line) was a tram line in Oslo that served Kampen in Gamle Oslo, on the eastern section of the city. The tramline was established by Kristiania Sporveisselskab in 1900 as a siding to the Gamlebyen Line from Grønland and up Motzfeldts gate, Tøyengata and Hagegata to Brinken. The section was a single track until 1921. The area is currently served by bus number 60 (Tonsenhagen-Vippetangen), at Kampen and Kampen Park Route It ran northbound via Tøyengata from Grønland, while the runs ran parallel from where existing runs entered Tøyengata.
