Volume 10 (rapper)
Dino Hawkins, known by his stage name Volume 10, is an American rapper from Los Angeles, California. He was a member of the Heavyweights crew along with Freestyle Fellowship, Ganjah K, and Medusa, among others. History Volume 10 was featured on Freestyle Fellowship's 1993 album, ''Innercity Griots''. Volume 10's debut solo single "Pistolgrip-Pump" was released in 1993 to critical acclaim, despite being edited for radio and referred to simply as "Pump" in 1994. The single was later recorded by Rage Against the Machine for their album, '' Renegades''. He released his first album ''Hip-Hopera'' in 1994. The second album, ''Psycho'', was released in 2000. ''Renegades'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Rage Against the Machine (RATM), released on December 5, 2000, by Epic Records, almost two months after their first breakup. The album consists of covers of songs by Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Afrika Bambaataa, Minor Threat, Eric B. & Rakim, The Stooges, MC5, The Rolling Stones, Cypress Hill, Devo, and others. ''Renegades'' is RATM's only album not to be accompanied by a supporting tour. Shortly after the release of the album, three of the four band members (minus vocalist Zack de la Rocha) formed a new band, Audioslave, with former Soundgarden vocalist/guitarist Chris Cornell. Ryan Owen Granville Williams (born 29 October 1969), better known by his stage name Roni Size, is an English DJ and record producer. He came to prominence in 1997 as the founder and frontman of Roni Size & Reprazent, a drum and bass collective. That year they won the Mercury Prize for their debut studio album ''New Forms''. Kenny Segal (born December 3, 1979), also known as Syndakit, is an American record producer and DJ based in Los Angeles, California. In 2018, ''Mixmag'' described him as "one of the best hip-hop producers in the city." He has been a member of Team Supreme, The Kleenrz, and The Jefferson Park Boys. Early life Kenny Segal was born and raised in Rockville, Maryland. He played cello in school orchestras. He attended University of Southern California on a computer engineering scholarship. Subsequently, he changed his major to audio recording. Career Kenny Segal originally played drum and bass at the Konkrete Jungle party in the 1990s. He is a member of Freestyle Fellowship alongside Myka 9, P.E.A.C.E., and Aceyalone. He is also one half of The Kleenrz alongside Kenny Segal. The Loneliest Punk
The Loneliest Punk is Fatlip's debut solo album. The album was recorded on Delicious Vinyl records. The name is a play on "Thelonious Monk", the famous jazz pianist. Production of the album was handled by acclaimed hip hop producer J-Swift (who was responsible for The Pharcyde's debut album, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde) and producer Squeak E. Clean among others. Executive producers of the album were Mike Floss and Edy Crahp, which some have speculated to be Fatlip himself, as the name "Edy Crahp" is really just "Pharcyde" in reverse (In the song "Today's Your Day," he raps, "Edy Crahp, comin' with different shit/Edy Crahp, write it down nigga, see the reverse significance?", lending credence to this theory). Derrick Lemel Stewart (born March 26, 1968), known professionally as Fatlip, is a Los Angeles-born hip hop music, hip hop musician. He started his career in the hip hop group The Pharcyde. Early career The Pharcyde As a member of The Pharcyde, Fatlip contributed to the critically acclaimed ''Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde'' as well as the follow-up release ''Labcabincalifornia''. Jon Owens (born December 19, 1973), known by his stage name Casual, is an American rapper and producer from Oakland, California and one of the founding members of the alternative hip hop collective Hieroglyphics.
