Volochysk ( uk, Волочиськ, yi, וואָלאָטשיסק) is a small city located on the left bank of the Zbruch River in Khmelnytskyi Raion, Khmelnytskyi Oblast (province) of western Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Volochysk urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. The population according to the 2001 census was 20958. Khmelnytskyi Raion ( uk, Хмельницький район, ) is one of the 20 administrative raions (a ''district'') of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast in western Ukraine. Pidvolochysk ( uk, Підволочиськ, pl, Podwołoczyska, yi, Podvolitchisk, , russian: Подволочиск) is an urban-type settlement in Ternopil, Ternopil Oblast (province) of western Ukraine. It is situated on the right side of the river Zbruch, opposite Volochysk, Khmenytskyi oblast. Pidvolochysk hosts the administration of the Pidvolochysk settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Southwestern Railways (PZZ), ( uk, Південно-Західна залізниця) headquartered in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, is a component part of the Ukrzaliznytsia company, its regional branch.
