Vlastimil Moravec
Vlastimil Moravec (7 May 1949 – 15 April 1986) was a Czech cyclist. He competed at the 1972 in Munich and 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal in the 100 km team time trial and individual road race, respectively; he finished in 13th place in both events. He won a bronze medal at the 1975 UCI Road World Championships in the team time trial. Nové Město Nad Metují
Nové Město nad Metují (; german: Neustadt an der Mettau) is a town in Náchod District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 9,100 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument reservation. The Peace Race (german: Friedensfahrt, cs, Závod míru, sk, Preteky mieru, russian: Велогонка Мира (), pl, Wyścig Pokoju , french: Course de la Paix, it, Corsa della Pace, ro, Cursa Păcii) was an annual multiple stage bicycle race held in the Eastern Bloc states of Czechoslovakia, East Germany, and Poland. First organized in 1948, it was originally created with the intent of relieving tensions existing between Central European countries following the interwar period and World War II. Okolo Slovenska ( en, Tour of Slovakia; french: Tour de Slovaquie) is an annual road cycling stage race in Slovakia. Founded in 1954, since 2017 it has been rated as a 2.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. It is a stage race that usually includes five or more stages.
