Vladimir Korenev
Vladimir Borisovich Korenev (russian: Влади́мир Бори́сович Ко́ренев; 20 June 1940 – 2 January 2021) was a Soviet and Russian film and theatre actor and teacher, known for '' The Amphibian Man'' (1962). He was awarded People's Artist of Russia in 1998. Early life and education Korenev was born on 20 June 1940, in Sevastopol, in the family of Rear Admiral Boris Leonidovich Korenev. He lived in Izmail until the family moved to Tallinn, where he became interested in literature and theater. Classmate Larisa Luzhina led Vladimir to drama club, directed by Ivan Danilovich Rossomahin. The circle also engaged Vitali Konyayev, Igor Yasulovich and Lillian Malkina. In 1957, he enrolled in the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts in the studio of People's Artist of the RSFSR Gregory Konskiy and People's Artist of the USSR Olga Androvskaya. ''Amphibian Man'' (russian: Человек-амфибия, translit. Chelovek-amfibiya) is a 1962 Soviet science fiction romance film starring Vladimir Korenev and directed by Vladimir Chebotaryov and Gennadi Kazansky. The film stars Vladimir Korenev and Anastasiya Vertinskaya in the lead roles. It is an almost fable-like story based upon the eponymous 1928 novel by Alexander Beliaev. It focuses on a youth named ''Ichthyander'' (russian: Ихтиандр, Ichtiandr) (from Greek: fish+man) who was surgically altered to survive under the sea. Unlike traditional science fiction movies of the time the film focuses much more on the concept of love won and lost. People's Artist of the USSR ( rus, Народный артист СССР, Narodny artist SSSR), also sometimes translated as National Artist of the USSR, was an honorary title granted to artists of the Soviet Union. Nomenclature and significance The term is confusingly used to translate two Russian language titles: Народный артист СССР (fem. Mikhail Mikhailovich Yanshin (russian: Михаи́л Миха́йлович Я́ншин) (20 October 1902 – 17 July 1976) was a Soviet Union, Soviet stage and film actor. Biography Yanshin was born in the city of Yukhnov, located in the present-day Kaluga Oblast. As a young man he worked as a carpenter. In 1919 he volunteered for the Red Army. Following the Russian Civil War, he enrolled at the school of the Moscow Art Theatre, where his classmates included Mikhail Nikolayevich Kedrov, Mikhail Kedrov and Boris Livanov.Е. Полякова.
