Viva! Health, formerly The Vegetarian and Vegan Foundation (VVF), founded by Juliet Gellatley (along with Viva!), is a science-based health and nutrition charity. Viva! Health monitors and interprets the growing body of research linking diet and health. Viva! Health provides information and advice about healthy eating. Viva! Martin Shaw
Martin Shaw (born 21 January 1945) is an English actor. He came to national recognition as Doyle in ITV (TV network), ITV crime-action television drama series ''The Professionals (TV series), The Professionals'' (1977–1983). Further notable television parts include the title roles in ''The Chief (UK TV series), The Chief'' (1993–1995), ''Judge John Deed'' (2001–2007) and ''Inspector George Gently'' (2007–2017). Vegan Organizations
Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of animal product—particularly in diet—and an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of animals. An individual who follows the diet or philosophy is known as a vegan. Distinctions may be made between several categories of veganism. Dietary vegans, also known as "strict vegetarians", refrain from consuming meat, eggs, dairy products, and any other animal-derived substances. An ethical vegan is someone who not only follows a plant-based diet but extends the philosophy into other areas of their lives, opposes the use of animals for any purpose, and tries to avoid any cruelty and exploitation of all animals including humans. The Vegan Society
The Vegan Society is a registered charity and the oldest vegan organization in the world, founded in the United Kingdom in 1944 by Donald Watson, Elsie Shrigley, George Henderson and his wife Fay Henderson among others. History In November, 1944 Donald Watson secretary of the Leicester Vegetarian Society who identified as a non-dairy vegetarian started a newsletter ''The Vegan News'', sub-titled "Quarterly Magazine of the Non-Dairy Vegetarians". John Feldmann (born June 29, 1967) is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. He serves as the lead singer/guitarist of the band Goldfinger. Early life Feldmann grew up in Saratoga, California. He started writing songs around the age of 13 or 14. Around that time, he met the band Social Distortion, and was inspired to be like them.
