John Feldmann
John Feldmann (born June 29, 1967) is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. He serves as the lead singer/guitarist of the band Goldfinger. Early life Feldmann grew up in Saratoga, California. He started writing songs around the age of 13 or 14. Around that time, he met the band Social Distortion, and was inspired to be like them. Career Feldmann's first band was Saratoga-based Family Crisis. In 1988, he moved to Los Angeles, where he formed the band Electric Love Hogs and met future Goldfinger bassist Kelly LeMieux. The Electric Love Hogs (which also included Dave Kushner of Velvet Revolver and Bobby Hewitt of Orgy) put out one album, their self-titled 1992 debut, which was co-produced by Tommy Lee. Feldmann formed Goldfinger in Los Angeles in 1994 after meeting original Goldfinger bassist Simon Williams in a shoe store where they were both working. Orgy (band)
Orgy is an American Rock music, rock band formed in 1994, from Los Angeles, California. They have described their industrial rock music as "death pop". The band is best known for their cover version of the New Order (band), New Order song "Blue Monday (New Order song), Blue Monday", and the song "Stitches (Orgy song), Stitches", both from their 1998 album ''Candyass''. History Early years (1994–1997) Orgy was formed in 1994 by vocalist Jay Gordon (singer), Jay Gordon and guitarists Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck. ''Page Avenue'' is the debut studio album by American rock band Story of the Year. Goldfinger frontman John Feldmann, who served as a talent scout for Maverick Records, began working on demos with the band, and eventually for their debut album. Sessions took place at Feldmann's home studio, Foxy Studios in Marina del Rey, California; the group tracked three songs before guitarist Greg Haupt left in November 2002. Guitarist Philip Sneed was drafted in and sessions recommenced in early 2003. The album's release through Maverick Records was pushed back several times to September 16, 2003. The band toured as part of the Warped Tour before "Until the Day I Die" was released as a radio single. In early 2004, the band supported Linkin Park on their US arena tour; they subsequently worked with Linkin Park's Joe Hahn on a music video for "Anthem of Our Dying Day". Story of the Year is an American rock band formed in St. Louis, Missouri, Story of the Year at Allmusic.comAccessed May 17, 2007. in 1995 under the name 67 North. The band eventually changed their name to Big Blue Monkey in 1998, and then subsequently changed it again to Story of the Year in 2002, after the release of their EP titled ''Story of the Year'' on the indie label Criterion Records. Mest is an American rock band originally formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Tony Lovato, bassist Matt Lovato, drummer Nick Gigler, and guitarist Jeremiah Rangel. They broke up in 2006 after eleven years, but temporarily reformed in California in 2008 for a "final tour." Showoff is a pop punk band from Chicago, Illinois led by vocalist Chris Envy. History Showoff was formed in 1997 in Villa Park, Illinois. Nick Gross
Nicholas William Gross (born July 19, 1988) is an entrepreneur, musician and founder of the Find Your Grind education platform. Gross founded the band girlfriends together with Travis Mills in 2020. He is also a member of Goldfinger. Early life Gross grew up in Laguna Beach, California, the only son of Bill H. Gross and his second wife Sue, and began playing the drums around age seven. He started a career as a drummer and in subsequent years was the drummer for bands Open Air Stereo and Half the Animal. With Open Air Stereo Gross took part in the reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. The band later signed with Epic Records. ''Goldfinger'' is the debut studio album by punk rock band Goldfinger, released on Mojo Records in February 1996 and produced by Mojo founder Jay Rifkin. The album was a hit on college radio. The single " Here in Your Bedroom" was a top 5 rock hit in the U.S. in the summer of 1996, and also reached #47 on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart, making it their highest charting single ever. The album was certified Gold in Canada (50,000 copies) in 2002. It is the only album by the band not to be produced by frontman John Feldmann in any capacity. Horns on the album are provided by members of other Southern California ska and ska punk bands, including trombonist Dan Regan and trumpeter Scott Klopfenstein of Reel Big Fish and saxophonist Efren Santana of Hepcat.
