Vishwajeet Kadam
Vishwajeet Kadam (born 13 January 1980) is a politician from the Indian state of Maharashtra. He is the son of former congress leader Patangrao Kadam, and was born and brought up in Pune. He is a MLA from Palus-Kadegaon (Vidhan Sabha constituency). Early life and education Kadam has a B.E., MBA, PhD in Management and has also completed Management and Leadership in Education from Howard University. Some know him as the Working President of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee. Others know him as a Member of the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and many more know him as the Secretary of Bharati Vidyapeeth. Maharashtra Legislative Assembly
The Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha or the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is the lower house of the legislature of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is situated in the Nariman Point area of South Mumbai in the capital Mumbai. Presently, 288 members of the Legislative Assembly are directly elected from the single-seat constituencies. The members of the upper house, the Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad (the legislative council) are indirectly elected through an electoral college. Patangrao Kadam
Patangrao Kadam (8 January 1944 – 9 March 2018) was an Indian politician from the state of Maharashtra. He came from a middle level farmer family in a small village, Sonsal in Sangli district. He previously held the forest ministry in the Maharashtra government. He was also an educationist and was the founder of Bharati Vidyapeeth. Kadam died of renal dysfunction at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on 9 March 2018. Early life Patangrao Kadam was born into a middle-level farming family in a small village of Sonsal, Sangli District in Maharashtra. Since no educational facilities were available in Sonsal, Kadam had to walk 4–5 km every day to attend a primary school in a nearby village. A Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is a representative elected by the voters of an electoral district (constituency) to the legislature of State government in the Indian system of government. From each constituency, the people elect one representative who then becomes a member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).
