State Route 412 (SR 412) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia. Known as Prices Fork Road, the state highway runs from U.S. Route 460 in Virginia, U.S. Route 460 (US 460) east to U.S. Route 460 Business (Blacksburg, Virginia), US 460 Business within Blacksburg, Virginia, Blacksburg in northern Montgomery County, Virginia, Montgomery County. Blacksburg is an incorporated town in Montgomery County, Virginia, United States, with a population of 44,826 at the 2020 census. Prices Fork is a small traditionally agricultural census-designated place (CDP), in Montgomery County, Virginia, United States. The population as of the 2010 Census was 1,066. It is located about three miles west of Blacksburg and the campus of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). The community is a part of the Blacksburg–Christiansburg metropolitan area which encompasses all of Montgomery County and the cities of Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Radford for statistical purposes. Prices Fork was named in honor of the local Price, or Preisch, family.
