State Route 127 (SR 127) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia. The state highway begins at the West Virginia state line at Good, West Virginia, where the highway continues west as West Virginia Route 127 (WV 127). SR 127 heads east to U.S. Route 522 (US 522) near Cross Junction in northwestern Frederick County. SR 127 is the easternmost portion of Bloomery Pike, a turnpike that connected Winchester with the namesake iron smelting center. West Virginia Route 127 is an east–west state highway located in northeast West Virginia. The western terminus is at West Virginia Route 29 near Forks of Cacapon in Hampshire County. The eastern terminus is at the Virginia state line west of U.S. Route 522 and east of Good, where WV 127 continues eastward as State Route 127. WV 127 is part of the Bloomery Pike, which also encompasses part of WV 29 and SR 127. A bloomery is a type of metallurgical furnace once used widely for smelting iron from its oxides. The bloomery was the earliest form of smelter capable of smelting iron. Bloomeries produce a porous mass of iron and slag called a ''bloom''. The mix of slag and iron in the bloom, termed ''sponge iron'', is usually consolidated and further forged into wrought iron. Blast furnaces, which produce pig iron, have largely superseded bloomeries. Process A bloomery consists of a pit or chimney with heat-resistant walls made of earth, clay, or stone. Key Resolve, previously known as Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, Integration (RSOI) which was previously known as Team Spirit even earlier, is an annual command post exercise (CPX) held by United States Forces Korea with the Republic of Korea Armed Forces.
