Virginia's 13th Senate District
Virginia's 13th Senate district is one of 40 districts in the Senate of Virginia. It has been represented by Democrat John Bell since 2020, succeeding retiring Republican Dick Black. Geography District 13 covers parts of Loudoun and Prince William Counties in Northern Virginia, including some or all of Purcellville, Ashburn, Broadlands, South Riding, Gainesville, and Linton Hall. The district overlaps with Virginia's 1st and 10th congressional districts, and with the 10th, 13th, 32nd, 33rd, 40th, 50th, 67th, and 87th districts of the Virginia House of Delegates. Jennifer Boysko
Jennifer Barton Boysko (born November 16, 1966) is an American politician from the Commonwealth of Virginia. She represents the 33rd district in the Virginia Senate. Previously, she represented the 86th district in the Virginia House of Delegates, which is located in Fairfax and Loudoun counties. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Early life and career Boysko was reared in Alabama and Arkansas. In 1989, she graduated from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Since 1996, Boysko has been a resident of downtown Herndon, Virginia, where she and her husband Glenn have raised two daughters, Hannah and Sophie Claire. Lashrecse Aird
Lashrecse Dianna Aird / ˌlɔ.ʃəˈɹis/ (née Jones; born June 22, 1986) is an American Democratic politician who represented the 63rd District in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2016 to 2022. The district includes Dinwiddie County and the city of Petersburg as well as parts of the counties of Chesterfield and Prince George. Aird served on the General Laws, Health, Welfare and Institutions, and Appropriations committees. She is a candidate for Virginia's 13th Senate district in 2023 and won its Democratic primary. Career Aird was born on June 22, 1986. While attending Virginia State University, Aird met Rosalyn Dance, who invited her to apply for an internship with her office. Joe Morrissey
Joseph Dee Morrissey (born September 23, 1957) is an American Democratic politician, businessman, and former lawyer who won election to both chambers of the Virginia General Assembly from districts including Richmond or surrounding Henrico County, Virginia. He currently represents Virginia's 16th Senate district, having been elected during the 2019 Virginia elections. He represents much of southern Richmond, as well as all of the cities of Petersburg and Hopewell and portions of Chesterfield, Dinwiddie and Prince George counties. He served as Commonwealth's Attorney of Richmond 1989–93 and was first elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in November 2007. The Virginia House of Delegates is one of the two parts of the Virginia General Assembly, the other being the Senate of Virginia. It has 100 members elected for terms of two years; unlike most states, these elections take place during odd-numbered years. Virginia's 50th House Of Delegates District
Virginia's 50th House of Delegates district elects one of the 100 members of the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. The district is made up of most of Manassas City and some of Prince William County. The representative of the 50th district is Democrat Michelle Maldonado. Elections 1981 Republican Harry J.
