Violet Wattenberg
Violet Cornelia Elizabeth Wattenberg (born 5 December 1978) is an Indian-born Dutch former cricketer who played as a right-handed batter and wicket-keeper. She appeared in one Test match, 19 One Day Internationals and 11 Twenty20 Internationals for the Netherlands between 2007 and 2011. In her only Test match, she was the team's highest scorer, including scoring 49 in the first innings. Wicket-keeper
The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. The wicket-keeper is the only member of the fielding side permitted to wear gloves and external leg guards. The role of the keeper is governed by Law 27 of the Laws of Cricket. Stance Initially, during the bowling of the ball the wicket-keeper crouches in a full squatting position but partly stands up as the ball is received. The Warwickshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Warwickshire. They play their home games at Edgbaston Foundation Sports Ground, Birmingham, and are captained by Marie Kelly. In 2019, they won the Women's Twenty20 Cup.
